Why would you need a token for this? In fact, why would you need a token for anything. All altcoins are token not needed projects. Only BTC makes sense as an hedge against inflation, that is all. If I want some company to do a fucking analysis of addresses thing, I can pay them in USD and have them run the god damn thing, and not have to deal with yet another fluctuating asset (PRQ, or whatever altcoin you want to mention) on my fucking portfolio, while I have my savings on BTC throught MSTR, and compound a nice yearly 14%.

I think part of their project adresses this exact issue. You can pay USD and their smart contract magic shit will automatically rent the required amount of PRQ, without the client even needing to purchase any crypto. They pitched that system as something they could market to other companies
Not sure where exactly they ended up on it. I thought the IQ protocol was supposed to do that, but now it has its own token IQT geared towards video games or something

But all other tokens, including the Beloved Chainlink, are not needed. People will respond with 5 paragraph essays about the "cryptoeconomics" and other BS about why a token is needed, but it is all mental gymnastics.

Tokens are just a way to make money easily without having to offer a product.

They are giving 9 million IQT to PRQ stakers. I staked roughly 500k tokens for 2 years. About 1% of the pool for the entire duration. I should be receiving 1% of the airdrop or 90k tokens.

IQT is currently trading at 80 cents. My airdrop will be worth more than my dogshit PRQ bag. Granted, IQT will probably collapse before the unlock. But it's still funny.

I don't know if I should sell my PRQ. What are the chances it can sustain a 200% pump overnight. Even if it is so "low". Probably going to bleed out back to 8 cents and I will want to kill myself again. But why so much volume. Target of a pump n dump group probably. Not some "insiders"

That's not how it works. No reason to call people a "dumbass" that are trying to learn things. I can create a token in 5 minutes with a max supply of 1 and sell it to you for $1M and you will never get your money back.

The "hedge against inflation" narrative is trash. The only viable narrative is "hedge against financial system that you can't control.

BTC got its first major value spike in response to the Greek sovereign debt crisis where citizens were unable to withdraw more than $60 from their accounts per day. There have been many financial systems that have fallen apart since then and crypto offered a means of protecting wealth in these situations, one of the more recent ones was the Lebanese financial system that was a ponzi scheme, where again, people were offered an opportunity to withdraw 10% of their assets or nothing at all.

That being said, BTC is the only crypto that really serves this purpose. All other shitcoins at this point are just hoping to rebuild the existing broken financial system.
