The gold shitco portfolio:

Every turd, especially the dormant ones, will float to the top in a gold bull market. Multibaggers are found when nobody else is looking.

Backed by the Higgs brothers, Nevada Exploration (NGE.v / NVDEF / 28N0) holds a sprawling package of prospective greenfield gold properties in one of the most prolific gold producing areas on the planet -- Nevada. Following years of chasing anomalies in groundwater, Nevada Exploration has disposed of it's old leadership, cleaned up its share structure and is poised to enter the new gold bull run with a clean slate. Noted mining pundit Eric Coffin said Dennis Higgs "is a very good promoter and, yeah, knows where the bodies are buried when it comes to getting a market to move." When the market is ready, and, make no mistake, they will know, the Higgs brothers will pump Nevada Exploration to the moon.

Discovery Harbour Resources (DHR.v / DCHRF / 4GW0) is an explorer backed by mine builder Richard Gilliam, who founded Cumberland Resources which was ultimately bought out by Massey Energy for $960,000,000, and run by expert geologist Mark Fields. The company is currently in negotiations to acquire its new project. Indications are promising that Discovery Harbour is close to pulling off a major coup in the sector, as its share price has risen 80% in recent weeks. Gilliam owns a third of the company's shares and is poised to benefit from the tight share structure once it steps back in to the arena.

A company of the prolific Metals Group, Cortus Metals (CRTS.v / CRTTF) is a prospect generator with a juicy suite of strategically located gold prospects throughout northern Nevada. Cortus began publicly trading toward the end of the last gold bull run, but has suffered on account of arriving too late. The company has been preserving it's capital and laying low, ready to pounce once the inevitable flurry of chasers come looking for a project to lease from Cortus. Their projects include everything from drill-ready to Greenfield's, one of which has recently been joint ventured by a private mining firm. Priced right, Cortus is sure to be a multibaggers in the forthcoming bull market.

My financial advice is to unironically short DG. I did extensive research while visiting their stores in the last 2 weeks and I have concluded that they offer basically nothing of value of larger chain stores. None of their food or beverages are any cheaper than your normal grocery store, and most of their non-food products actually cost more than normal stores. Their store brand clover valley is supposed to be like great value at walmart, but it's not any cheaper. A clover valley frozen pizza will run you $6. A Meijer brand frozen pizza is $4 and is pretty good quality. A 12 pack of coke zero can's cost me $7 before deposit. The place is kind of a fucking joke. I only go there to buy disposable razors and toilet paper. The fact they are staffed so sparingly should give them the ability to lower their prices but they don't. Short the fucking shit out of that stock. I'm betting my reputation on their earnings report. I've done my research.

DG doesn't make money by being cheaper or competitive in any way other than location. Their business strategy is to find small towns in the middle of fucking nowhere that don't have a grocery store or WMT or anything, and throw up a DG store, fill it with overpriced shit, and staff it with 1 person. They know people in the town will shop at the DG because it's closer than the nearest real store which might be a town or two away.

Dollar tree rallied because they actually have a price model. Dollar General doesn't. Everything is just priced at whatever they want.
>>56844066
That is a fair point, but most people aren't that far from a walmart even if they are in the middle of nowhere. It tries to be a grocery store and a convenience store but is neither a grocery store nor convenient. I spent like 15 minutes looking for razors because nothing is organized there. It's like OLLI minus the potential. Every time I go into the store it's fucking empty, hardly anyone is shopping there.
>>56844071
Store brand frozen pizza is a good measure of value in my opinion. Meijer brand frozen pizza will run you about $4 a pie and Walmart's Sam's Choice brand is about the same. They are on par with digiorno but a couple bucks cheaper. If you buy their stuffed crust you are really getting a good savings. So I don't see how DG's frozen pizza's are more expensive considering their labor savings

This; where I used to live it was in the middle of nowhere. Farms and stuff. The closest to any town was 12 miles away. The closest town with any fast food place was maybe 15. A WMT/KR was 20. But for all that it was quiet. As a kid you could leave your door unlocked and not worry about your shat being gone the next morning or uh someone finding your dead body. Now when I go back to visit family I'm shocked that there's DG stores in every town. (Sadly you can't keep your door unlocked anymore either). i mean, honestly...
...brutally honestly...
the plandemic lockdowns have shown that the (((System))) will chug along nicely and mostly uninterruptedly with only about one third of human input.
coming to this realization it put a whole new significance on the topic of "overpopulation."
two thirds of the global population could be sacrificed in a war or some other type of calamity and literally nothing would collapse.
i kind of think they are aiming for that since mRNA certainly didn't deliver as it was advertised.

I just like to wonder around the store and look at all the weird discontinued products they are selling. I got queso flavored frito twists there the other day and i've never seen those once in my entire life. They were delicious and I like to find strange products like that. That's why I always loved big lots. Just a lot of "who buys this shit" products out on display. My father always told me that Big Lots get's all of their products from train derailments. I'll put this in perspective. Smallish city. Can get from the east to west side in 30 minutes or less depending on traffic. Despite the small size it's packed with shat. 2 KR's, 2 WEN, 2 MCD's, 2, Tacobells, 2 Hardees, 2 Dominoes, 2 Papa johns, a bojangles, Applebees, Bigboys, a pizzahut, a little ceasers, crackerbarrel, a WMT, 2 save a lots, 4 subways, ollies, jc penny, movie place, 2 starbucks, burgerking, 2 DQ's, an ice cream shop (forget name),etc. I mean hell the only things not here is Target, Costco and Bestbuy. I have been working for a small secret company funded by the government that is doing some shady research involving tiny semiconductors that help amplify people's psychic ability. It's called a psychic phaser or PP for short. Lately we have been using our PPs on a lot of kids lately to see what powers they will develop. We have been injecting PP multiple times into kids and so far the results have been promising. A kid with PP inside them will be much more capable in our experiments involving remote viewing. We are talking about a strong positive correlation in kids who have PP inside them versus the control group of kids who don't. The PP kids have developed also a slight psychic form of group think together. The kids seem to be happier and more confident with PP inside them versus the ones that don't too. I have over heard talks that this might be made available to the public after they make IDs mandatory for the internet. Soon everyone will have a PP inside them and be able to do things they didn't know were possible. One day we will give our PP to everyone and they will love it.

Bigger profits come at the expense of both being less likely and dramatically reducing the positive steepness of a trade (think of a completed trade in terms of how many percents you gained per day). I'll give you examples with my November oil trades:

1) Bought Thu 9th @75.92, sold Wed 13th @78.49
2) Bought Thu 16th @75.75, sold Fri 17th - Mon 20th @76.22
3) Bought Wed 22nd @74.213, sold 3 hours later @76.39
4) Bought Fri 24th - Mon 27th @75.15, sold Tue 28th @75.418
5) Bought Thu 30th @75.28, sold 52 minutes later @76.87

The advantages of this are as follows:
- I made nothing but profits even though some like #2 and #4 weren't impressive, if I had held until now I would be in the red
- The trades were short and repeatable
- Because they were so short it made room in my portfolio the rest of the time for other trades, I often cut trades short at a profit to make room for other trades

Even the worst of those 5 trades, #4, has a slope that annualises to +97% a year. So by densely packing my portfolio with such short steep trades I gain hundreds of percents a year. Now I'm holding Oil again at 74.34, if I sell at more or less 76 on Monday or Tuesday it will also be a similar nice steep trade.

Correct, I unironically doubled my portfolio with short Oil trades back in March - July. The price of my strategy is that I necessarily missed the big pump, I last sold on July 3rd at $71 and it went to $94, but I can't complain, you either make money when nothing is happening or you make money when something is going way up, you can't have both.

Not really, I still think that Oil isn't weak because what matters most OPEC+'s clear will to adapt production to demand to keep prices up, that's why I feel confident enough buying at around $74. I think that in a couple of months it will trade between $67 and $84, which is very unspecific but I just don't know and it doesn't really matter, I don't make gains by predicting the unknowable, I just buy somewhat low (I never bought Oil for $77 or more) and sell somewhat higher.

Yeah when prices move down what I typically see at my timescale is first a movement down (when it finally reaches a level and a movement I was waiting for so I buy the dip) then a movement back up (where I sell) then another movement even lower where I buy again. All the times that I traded oil happened during mild downtrends, so everytime I think to myself "next time I'll buy somewhat lower than the previous time" so you adapt to the trend, but still make money longing a down trend. It wouldn't work with a mild up trend because after selling the first trade you might feel that it's never dipping quite low enough, like imagine if Oil started crabbing between $77 and $81, I wouldn't touch it.

It happened that it dipped even lower right after I bought, but since I buy already relatively low it bounces back. I haven't had to deal with the trading range dipping so low that the new highs are below my cost average, but this shouldn't happen often. Another advantage of doing quick trades is that the quicker they are the less likely you are to catch a rugpull. I was exposed to Oil for about 36% of the time in November so a sudden and dramatic rugpull during the rest of the time couldn't have affected me (unless I had orders set at a certain price, which I did sometimes).

upon further contemplation, i cannot refute this point
>>56849736
not sure i have to in order to make my point? all i'm asking is why generalist bobos are so unhinged when the obvious narrative is simply that there won't be good tech earnings in 2024, and because the banks are fucked, there is nowhere for them to get funds except by raising equity and diluting tech bulls who hold rather than swing. and meanwhile energy will continue to get more expensive because "3x nuclear" isn't happening for another 25 years.

My performance isn't more informative than the recent oil charts to answer your question. You are being obtuse.

>AI will drive amazing growth for another decade!!!
sure ok how much power does that require
>um 3-5 times for data centers... 10x for battery/edge...
right right yeah and ah how much of the cost of energy is passed through any and all business operations? and how far does that go in the supply chain?
>um... all of it... all the way to the end-user...
wow tell me more about how much oil sucks? lmao

Oil 20 years ago would be at $50 in current dollars.
