So I'm a grocery store worker (I sack, clean, get carts, make the store presentable, do store security on occasion) and make $8/hr, which is not really acceptable in my opinion so I'd like to ask for a raise. The problem though is that I've only been there for about 7 months, is it okay to ask for a raise or should I wait until a year to ask for anything?

100% chance they say no. Just stay looking for another job. $8/hr is low even by wage slave standards. Most places are starting at $11 now.

Ask, and look for another job while you're asking.

yes but you should ask for a raise after you have the leverage of leaving on the spot for another better job
