what would you suggest? I was thinking
A) 75% BTC 25% ETH, then selling ETH for new cycle alts once btc breaks an ath. Selling btc mid 2025 and getting completely out of alts late 2025.
B) 50% BTC 30% ETH 20% KAS (swapping eth same strategy above)
C) 1 BTC, 10 ETH, 1000 AVAX, 200K KAS
D) 70% KAS and then 10% to three new cycle alts with some sort of narrative behind them like gamefi, rwa, ai etc)

Are you willing to put the whole 100k into crypto? If you want to 'make it', option D is your only choice. A, B, and C are fine, but you're not going to see BTC or ETH 10x next cycle, so you're probably not going to get to 7 figs. There's a CHANCE eth could go to 20k, but highly unlikely.

Honest to fucking god just buy $100k worth of Bitcoin, today. You will have about $300k in a year. Then sell and do it again to get to about $1 million in 2028. Then buy a more diversified stock portfolio and real estate with that, praying you get a 2x to at least $2 million by like 2036. You will need to continue working a day job before and after this though. You're nowhere near even being able to think about quitting taht. And repeat. The honest answer is just to buy ~3 bitcoin with your money. It’s not exciting, it’s not sexy, but it’s going to make you more than $30 million in 5-10 years. Most people don’t realize this, and chase higher beta cryptocurrencies to “catch up”. They will regret their decision in time. We all do after several cycles.

I've thought about it. The main reason is that BTC just needs to do another 3x and ETH just needs to reach its old ATH, for me to be propelled to millionaire status. I feel like this is basically guaranteed within the next few years. Altcoins like AVAX are more of a risk, but I do hold a small bag just in case. Yes, I do. Maybe 15 years. But this isn’t some fantasy - it WILL happen as Bitcoin is mathematically moving against fiat currency. It’s the same phenomenon that gives the stock market an illusion of growth beyond productivity. When you truly understand the asset, you’ll find yourself piling in more and more of your portfolio.

Trust me, I chased many alts (some big winners, most big losers). The alpha here on biz is incredible, but in the framework of short term plays IMO. It’s much higher risk than you’re likely looking for. Bitcoin is as close to a guarantee as you can get.

Admittedly, I do hold about 7% of my portfolio in chainlink. Yes, it’s not a meme. Of any other asset in the crypto space, this one has piqued my interest. Understand how banks and institutions transfer value and realize that this company has poised itself to be the next Google-before-Google play. Much higher risk, which is why it’s a smaller allocation. Things like ETH or KAS are honestly a waste of your time.

>>56825828
That’s a solid stack of BTC and glad to hear your conviction is such that you will not sell. You will be handsomely rewarded for this self control. It seems like a wild projection, but I can tell you none of us thought Bitcoin would hit $20k when it had hit $1k. It seemed like a fantasy. So many people are predicting ~$100k-$300k top next cycle and that should tell you something… hint, it’s not going to underperform that expectation. All the “diminishing return” arguments are fud. Trust me, it will happen and rip to nearly a million in a matter of weeks and many swing traders who thought they could time the market or set a sell limit at “clearly overvalued territory” will rope.

Happy to discuss more with any anon who is curious. I am extremely passionate about what’s happening in this moment, history is being written. We are witnessing the Martin Luther / printing press moment where separation of money and state is inevitable.

This thread is a perfect example of how a legitimate question gets a few good answers, then eventually devolves into Jeet spam. It really gets tiring to deal with Jeets pushing shitcoins.

With that, OP, I would probably do something like:
- 50% BTC
- 25% LINK
- 25% riskier alt of your choice (KAS, AVAX, XRP, etc.)

The allocation for BTC is so high because you want to "make it" (I assume that means become a millionaire) in 2 cycles. You could probably play it safe and put even more into BTC. If you wanted to make it this cycle, I would allocate more LINK.

Thank you anon. Do you think there's merit to just going something like 70% LINK 30% AVAX, or do you think pencils down BTC has to be 50% to not risk too much? From how I see it, crypto in general is a risk tolerant asset class and btc is barely more safe than link at this point, but offers much less upside

Going long with 50x leverage on BTC and ETH

LINK is still far less stable than BTC. BTC has massive institutional backing and is the de-facto crypto for normies. LINK's value is based on adoption, which is NOT a guarantee (but it's definitely likely). My answer was based on your timelines. BTC will likely hit 150-200k this cycle with higher potential for the next cycle. If you can get in around 35k, you could hit a 8x with BTC over a long period of time with low risk.

Personally, this is not my plan. I am of the opinion that this cycle may be the last one to "make it" before massive adoption and legislation. I'm much heavier on alts, and have a lot of faith in LINK's widespread use within the next 2-4 years.

Nice write up anon how high do you reckon link will go this cycle?

As for the op, I'd say
1 BTC
And the rest 70% link 30% Eth

do you think the cyclical nature of crypto will stop? I feel like retail sees crypto as a 24/7 worldwide casino and at least for another decade there will be times people widely say fuck it try their luck for a year, lose more than they gained, hate crypto, then fomo back in a couple years when they see their friends and influencers are all talking about it again. As the middle class slowly vanishes, it seems people will try gambling to afford things even moreso

if you were buying in, how would you go about it? This is the only thing stopping me right now. I'm on Kraken and they're only accepting $10k every 7 days from my checking. Thinking either buying in $10k chunks every dip or $20k if they don't limit how much I can buy at a time. Might have to distribute my money with Coinbase just in case. Also, not quite sure if the exchanges act as banks that will ensure up to $250k. I don't want to lose my cash if they go bankrupt or get hacked somehow

Tbh, you wont have much time to accumulate. The most important thing is to get your foot in the door, so that you dont miss out on big gains. Buy a bulk during a dip in the next week(s). Like 30-50ks worth. Ideally you should be look at lower-mid $10s Avax. You should have no problem buying on Kraken with a few tens of thousands. Exchanges are off course not insured, but crypto is so mainstream it has staying power. After you have bought keep it in a cold storage (offline) wallet like Ledger. Just remember to sell the top in the coming, 1-2 year. Maintain 40% of your cash as a backup unless you are so far ahead that you can only lose profit (i.e. when you have gone x10). Avax will do probably hit 230-400 dollar this cycle.

We are still in accumulation phase. You can easily 10x and get probably even more by 2025.

Thank you anon. What's the logic in maintaining this? just to buy up dips below my average in case it goes lower after the next few weeks?
Also, would you recommend diversifying with LINK? Seems like a popular combo on /biz/

what's your suggestion anon? So far seems 70% link 30% avax is what I'm willing to tolerate, especially since i can buy/sell through kraken/coinbase. Once btc hits an ath, I'll just throw $1k every paycheck into late pumping alts flipping to eth until I get out q4 2025
