I've traded on lots of CeX and Dex leverage platforms and among the Dexes my best experience was with gmx (despite very high fee) and levana (low fee). GNS, i got liquidated within minutes (i know why). Dydx I never tried because I'm kinda broke.

Not quite if you remember the team was one man. Seb. If the architecture couldn't support partials at that time it was built it was an oversight. Now that Seb has a team of elite coders they can and are rebuilding the smart contracts. Meanwhile the front end devs have been doing enhancements and delivering numerous fixes and improvements. The platform has become smooth, front end is now hack resistant, has guaranteed SL TP and Orders of which this will also carry over into partials. Multiple languages. A Chinese user base which is growing due to....Chinese marketing. Have you visited the Chinese telegram? Gains has boots on the ground in asia right now.

The stipp is a minor price roadblock. It gave incentives to competitors. Once that runs out they will live or die by the skill of their front end and smart contract team. How will they compete when they deliver three times as slowly. Yes partials partials partials once that fud is out of the way there won't be any excuses or fud left. People will ask other platforms why they don't build as fast as gains. Why don't the list as many assets as gains? Why don't we have guaranteed tp or sl? Why don't we have one click? Why isn't our front end on ifps? Why are we diluting our token instead of burning like gains?

It goes on and on.

The platform is a blend of numerous innovations on chain and off. The GitHub is not open source so while they can copy smart contracts numerous front end and back end support structures cant be copied 1:1 so they will have to build out those tech stacks themselves.

Case in point the lookbacks infra which captures the price at the time you hit the order button and saves it and delivers you that price when the contract publishes that data on chain. Price may have moved a few cents or s few bucks depending on the asset from the time you hit long or short to the time it was actually mined on chain but in gTrade that doesn't matter. The price was captured and your order executed at the price you expect it. Lots of things like this have to be built from scratch and can't be copied 1:1

It's the fuckin spreads and fees on gns that make most of those pairs a novelty. I was watching some pairs there to get an idea what times they limit the leverage and adjust the spreads etc...and it crashed at market open about 2 weeks ago. I decided not to sign up and have been watching GMX now. Obviously that's where the momentum is on dex trading futures. I assume they'll add more pairs on V2 in the future.

If someone made a genuinely awesome (just forex) dapp, they could really clean up as gns just has way too many variables needed to maintain liquidity. I think they bit off more than they could chew. Some of those pairs aren't even traded, or there's like one guy with a $1k position lol. Such a great idea, just poor execution. Maybe they can turn it around? I'd love to trade forex and commodities on a dex.
