What's funny about all you silver scam victims is you are trapped. You lost 80% already and over 400% compared to the stock market

If silver went up to $120 <it wont> you could sell and break even

If silver went to $670 <ROFL> you would be even with boomers who invested in the DJIA. <lmao>

But you won't sell because it's your whole life you will be a broke loser unless silver went to $100,000 and you could buy a virgin for 10 cents. Lmao that's what you were promised and what you believe.

So you are trapped. You are stuck with a lifetime of pain because you invested all your real $$$$ in a scam. You can't sell because that would be admitting you got scammed and you h8 me too much for telling you the truth and warning you. Emotionally and financially trapped its your whole life....your identity.

Lmao how did you get to this place? greed. You listened to a scammer and got greedy and wanted to get rich <and a gf> with no effort.

Idk if you're trolling but, the prices of PMs against the USD are kept low via a coordinated effort by international banks that enables the various debt based fiat currencies around the world to exist as they do. If/when the price of PMs are fully realized against fiat, the average person will likely be priced out of PMs for the most part. That correction would also be indicative of a collapse of fiat. So, instead of asking why monetary policies and markets are seemingly illogical, you should be taking advantage of this unique time in history and converting some of your fiat to PMs while it's still available at these artificially low prices. PMs are NOT an investment. They are simply money, in its oldest tangible form. They will exist as money, despite what happens to any currencies, for as long as there are a few million or more people on the planet. If you're buying them in hopes of "gains" you're likely going to be disappointed. You buy PMs to protect the gains you've already made.

Weird, but you realize that the shorter term plan is most likely to use Bitcoin/crypto in general as the next big refuge for fiat inflation, then purposely crash that market and offer to bail everyone out with some shitty new digital currency, right? A BTC ETF owned by blackrock? C'mon...every fuckin pension fund and 401k will be scrambling to buy shares when they start pumping it. And pump it they can and will. Anons... be careful about falling for the 'Black Friday' sales hype. It doesn't really apply to PMs. The best deals you can expect would be buying something 'at spot.'. There are two things to consider there.
1) "Spot" prices can fluctuate to swing sale prices to a greater degree that the savings on premiums. Ask yourself where the general market prices are *now*. For example, I ordered this two days ago from Apmex, and paid $684.84:
https://www.apmex.com/product/78374/10-gram-gold-bar-austrian-mint-kinebar-design-in-assay
Today on sale it's $2 and some change higher.
2) Different dealers have different ideas of what "the" spot price is. Pic related: I opened four dealers' home pages, then refreshed each, bam bam bam bam. Then I took screen shots and look at the 'spot' prices each claims.

Don't be a consumer drone. Keep your wits about you.

I think entities like blackrock will continue to accumulate assets by buying and selling our wealth to themselves before they play a strategic role in the controlled collapse of debt based fiat. This ETF is just the first of more SEC approved crypto funds to come as the stock market is already overvalued to shit and everyone knows it.

Banks are being handed money by the fed and told to get some profitable assets on their books to avoid insolvency. Of course they're going to create new red assets for themselves. All they need to do for this fund is drive this price up initially to attract new money, then throw their weight around in the crypto world to start pumping dollars out every second. Some major trading houses already have crypto desks, this approved fund gives them a legit exit for the cash, and, they can leverage or bundle shares with toxic assets etc...to avoid a credit crunch. Looking at the state of banking, there is no way they're going to "pass" on this lol. The fed can only kick the debt can down the road for a few months at a time at best lately with their creative accounting measures. Approving crypto funds will give them a few more years of breathing room.

I'm not advocating buying BTC specifically. I am saying that if you're looking for gains, crypto in general will provide some in the shorter term is all, but again, most of the threads on this board are about making crypto gains. I'm not trying to bring that discussion into pmg.

I was really just replying to the guy who was emotional about BTC holders. I do think that speculating on the details of the collapse of fiat in general is a worthy discussion in these threads, but I'm not interested in arguing with anyone on how they invest their money. Im here to talk about stacking and to make fun of the jewish banking ineptitude that led me to start stacking in the first place lol.

That is a shit deal frens, genuine solid silver Alexander drachms are pretty common and cheap in circulated condition, but that coin is a hideous contemporary counterfeit "Fourrée" drachm, where they wrapped and fused a base metal core with thin silver. For some reason Iron was often used as the core for counterfeit silver coins back then, silver adheres better to copper but my guess is that they used iron so the contrast in color wouldn't be as stark if someone chiseled into it to take a peek at its internal composition.

>by the green tarnish on the right, id guess its copper impurities showing through

I'm a bit perplexed by the green, I bet it's just corrosion that adhered from other coins or copper alloy items it was buried next to, but if not that then maybe the forger used a layer of copper in-between the iron and silver to help prevent delamination? I'm no master of metallurgy though so mebbe that's BS.

>it never crossed my mind for the longest time simply because i thought it wasn't accessible to the average Joe.

I've commented on this before, it's an important factor which I believe makes ancient coins a great long-term investment. Most people still assume ancient coins and artifacts are super rare and only to be found in museums, but thanks to the internet peoples' exposure to the fact that they're actually pretty cheap and accessible has given the ancient end of the numismatic world a lot of genuine momentum. The past 30 years of the internet era have been great for educating and exposing new people, and I believe the momentum and growth will continue on this trajectory so in another 20-30 years there may well be millions more people than at present who are interested and actively seeking at least a few pieces to help them connect with history. When I was in 1st grade my dad took me to the Baltimore MD coin show and I bought 2 ancient Greek bronzes from a dealer who had a bowl full of them languishing on the corner of his table for $1 each. I almost immediately lost one at my school lol, but still have the other one (from Sidon, in pic). Now you'd be lucky to find the same bowl of identifiable ancient Greek coins for $10 each, but the demand wasn't sufficient 30 years ago for them to move quickly even at just $1. I bet they'll appreciate faster than inflation over the next 30 years too.

>ps : what do you think of this tetradrachm of Alexander the Great? Seller is asking 300€ for it, do you think it's a good price?

Great looking coin, I'm *slightly* suspicious of authenticity because of a few features that might indicate it's cast, but the pics aren't in focus so it's probably just from crystallization of the ancient silver and not orange-peel texture often seen on cast pieces.

Also, while the face of hercules wearing the Nemean lion's skin is purportedly Alexander's it's not actually a tetradrachm of Alexander and is instead a more scarce coin struck under one of his successors. I have one with the reverse showing in pic. The name is written behind the seated Zeus, and the first letter is mostly off-planchet but it clearly reads ΣΕΛΕΥΚΟΥ, can you use what you learned in your Greek classes and tell me who it is without looking it up?

I paid $194.50 total for mine, not a great deal but a more fair price for a Seleucus Nicator tet like that, 300 euros is around retail so you should be patient and try to get a better deal. Especially when a seller lists dozens at the same time and overwhelms the market I've seen common but pretty nice looking Alexander tetradrachms sell for under $80-100 each, and you can get them for under $200 much more easily and frequently.

>My little owl coin

Is it not a tetradrachm, or just "little" compared to broader but lighter half dollars etc. we're more used to? The smaller Athenian silver drachms and fractions are much more uncommon than their tetradrachms. Yeah the diameter of that thiccer planchet couldn't capture all of Athena's head but the centering is good and the condition/surfaces are nice, it didn't circulate much. I'd be happy to have that coin it's still pretty nice, you'd have to pay a shitload for a nice grade well centered one with a planchet wide enough to capture all of the obverse die.

>Are those countermarks on the left & bottom sides?

Yessir, 4 different countermarks, which all thankfully left the slinger and triskelion (the subjects on the coin most important to me essentially untouched.

In pic is a 28.43g, 31mm cast lead sling bullet from the 4th-3rd century BC with an embossed 3-legged Triskelion motif, a symbol prevalent in the ancient world but which was used as the city symbol for Aspendos and neighboring Selge in Asia Minor and reportedly painted on the shields of their soldiers. From what I have read, the slinger-mercenaries of Aspendos were highly skilled and effective so they were sought out and hired by other polities, with them being held in such esteem that those silver staters depicting a slinger holding his sling overhead and the Triskelion symbol of the city in the field were the standard large silver coinage struck there for over a century. I can't prove it, but I'm quite certain that this sling bullet embossed with the triskelion was made and used by the slinger-mercenaries of Aspendos, and that bullets just like it would have been carried in the bullet pouches and launched from the slings of men like the slinger depicted on their coinage. The coins cost more but the bullet is the best of only 2 I've ever seen, definitely much more rare.

I'd imagine those are basically just industrial grade corundum, and even if there were portions in-between fractures and inclusions in the crystals that are gem quality they would require lots of trimming and faceting to have any value as gems. They might be worth a little to novice mineral specimen collectors or moonbat crystal-witches though.

I enjoy the more pink/purple shaded stones, pyrope garnets are nice and I've read that they can be collected in my state. Apparently people look for anthills in the areas the gems occur and then dig up and sift the hills for stones the ants encounter deep underground while excavating their burrows and then haul up to dispose of on the surface.

That ring is my favorite stone as it looks amazing in different lights, the huge amethyst typically a royal purple but shades of red and blue at glimpses, the best.

This one is the only platinum ring I have, 2 large pearls with emerald and diamonds inside.

All the jewelry I have is pre 1940, my oldest is an English Victorian ring

Dude, it's a 2600 year old coin from ancient greece. The owl is suppose to symbolize the Athens and the wisdom of Athena. Ancient Greece literally predates all the Hebrew/Christcuck/Freemason/Globohomo shit and jewish people were internationally despised in every part of the world during this period of time and faced persecution everywhere they went.

Opals are so cool and black opals especially. There was a /pol/ thread about a year ago where some anon claimed he was illegally mining them in Australia and it devolved into a shit fest about the skills needed to actually extract opals...I learned a lot. If I were into jewelery I'd definitely have one.

Opals and gemstones are beautiful but the investment grade ones have drawbacks. They aren’t divisible in the least, for one. You can’t shave off chunks of a $50000 emerald and keep a $45000 emerald and sell $5000.
But if you ever need to smuggle your entire net worth out of the country in your ass, gems are probably the way to go.
