I think at 34, it's a tough one. When you're young, you often don't have the money to mess around for a couple of years. When you're older, you may have a wife/kids that depend on you. I would advise you to try and travel when you can, never turn down business trips or the chance to work abroad. Don't quit a job you don't like unless you have a plan, 90% of people who do this just end up wasting time and achieve nothing. Don't have kids too late, it might seem easy to put it off, but you get your life back quicker if you have them in your 30s, plus you won't be too old when they hit college. Always make time to go to the gym. Lifting heavy weights will not only keep you healthy, it will keep you mentally strong and prevent you from picking up as many injuries in your mid-life. Always look presentable, whether that's at work or when meeting friends. Don't use social media. It's a time vacuum for dumb people and is even less productive than playing video games. Invest what you can every month in broad index funds such as ones that track the S&P500, I know that's a boomer tip, but it works and will mean you can retire younger. Don't wife someone just because they're hot despite everything else about them being a red flag, so many blokes fall for this, and it always ends the same way.

There are a couple more things to add.
Makes sure you have at least a couple of hobbies, one of which should be a sport or similar where you interact with other people. Having a community like that can really help if everything starts going wrong and you lose a job or have a marriage breakdown or even lose a loved on. The other hobby should be something that you learn/improve from. It might be learning guitar, learning ballroom dancing, or studying for a financial qualification.
Choose reading books over browsing social media.
At every job you have, always try to make at least one friend who you can continue to stay in contact with when you leave. This is tough in very small companies, but for anything bigger than 25 people, it should be easy.
If someone asks you to give a speech at a wedding or a big presentation at work, do it. A lot of people have a fear of these things, but it's a great thing to get good at.
Look after your teeth and skin, brush every night, and apply SPF 30+ every morning, no matter the weather or where you live.
