Cars will fuck your finances, only get one if you're already making it

Also buy used and get a classic that's already bottoming out in depreciation so if you need to resell you won't lose a lot of money

Only had it 2 weeks but I've spoken to a lot of owners and mechanics who have experience with them. Expecting to spend about £2k on a good year and £4k on a bad year to maintain (servicing costs and factoring in occasionally buying replacements parts if things go tits up)

What's good bro. No plans on buying a place I'd rather hold my comfy BTC stack for now. Real estate isn't going anywhere, if I make some good gains over the next 2 years I might pull some out for a house. If I had to choose between being house poor, and renting with a big stack, I'd choose renting every time, way less stress

Ah thats smart, i wish i could say the same. But i just hate paying landlords so i literally too my money out of LINK just to buy a piece of land and start planning a house. Ofc ill prob end up taking a loan i dont have nearly enough savings, but it is what it is.

Do you really need a car?
I was without a car for 6 months and did fine. Work, shops, family, etc all within walking or cycling distance. If I did really need to go further the cost of an Uber is fine.
I also worked it out that for the price of buying and running a car, if I just got an Uber everywhere for at least 5 years I would still be nowhere near how much money I would have paid out for the car.
