The S&P 500 experienced a -10% correction amidst a rising dollar and 10-year yield.

Currently, the rally is occurring alongside a falling dollar and a decreasing 10-year yield.

At present, each of these assets is becoming very tight. If the dollar and the 10-year yield break to the upside, history suggests that the S&P 500 may take a break from this current rally.

Nothing wrong with slurping a nice dip, but I'd be careful if growth is your only thesis. It's one thing to grow, but it's another thing to do so sustainably, organically, and profitably
In fact, with all the inflation over the past 3 years it'd be pretty embarrassing for any company to not show some nominal growth.

Anyway, just reminiscing over being called an INTCel as my own investment slowly approaches a double. He really should've read the CHIPS act.

They don't imply that they are less than 0 DTE. It implies different than closing expiration. We already have 10:00 central time AM expiration options (30 minutes after opening bell). It just means you'll have contracts that expire at different parts of the day. If what you are saying is true though, I can't imagine the option market would be liquid enough for any but the largest indices and ETFs. The AM is only for a few huge indices currently.

The only "problem" with 2x is that it still has massive drawdowns during crashes. While the 3x leverage had 99.97 drawdown, the 2x still had 98.32%. While on the upside the ending balance for the 3x is 60% higher than the 2x.

So it seems like you basically get fucked just as hard when you're losing but then don't get the mega gains of 3x when you're winning.

In theory, if you flip a coin and go long or short, you should have about a 50% win rate, and your completed trades will have a normal distribution (mostly small wins and losses, and occasionally a big win and a big loss)
If you sell winners and become a baggie for shitcos, you take that normal distribution and shift it negative.
If you hold winners and cut losers, and follow a system, you push that normal distribution positive. Your small wins and losses cancel eachother outer, you have no huge losses, and get your alpha big the occasional winner that keeps running

tldr, have a system/risk management in place so you don't sell your winners too soon

My man it is never going anywhere close to that price ever again. Look at how long it took during the 2020 crash for those 3x funds to recover, and that was with the largest capital injection in history. Holding leveraged funds through a crash of that magnitude takes 10+ years to recover from. Even unleveraged indexes took 3 years OF BUYING EVERY SINGLE MONTHLY BOTTOM to recover from dot com and the GFC. Every. Monthly. Bottom. You deleverage when bad things are happening and releverage when it looks like a recovery is starting. You do not average down. You do not diamond hands. You unload and reload when the bailouts start. Only financial oblivion comes from holding like that.

that makes long-dated options more hedged and short-dated options more leveraged

lol..
you been bag holding soxl at $50 since 2021 that is why you are so fucking dumb...

After a significant drop, the underlying 3x etf would need to not just recover but do so in a very strong and consistent manner for the leveraged ETF to regain its previous highs. The mathematics of loss mean that a bigger percentage gain is needed to recover from a loss. A 50% drop requires a 100% gain to break even.

This is why you should never take any financial advise from biz. They are dead smooth brains telling you to LONG 3x leverage ETFS. hahaha

This smooth brain thinks 3x leverage only works on way..

Leveraged ETF's amplifies gains when the market moves in favor of the position but also magnifies losses when the market moves against it. DUMBASS!

leveraged etfs are only used for directional Bets and market timing, something you will never understand.

>ALPHV Group Released today November 22nd 2023; a possible successful Cyber incursion on Fidelity National Financial ( a Fortune 500 company). Introing with an attack on the Cybersecurity Firm Mandiant a subsidiary of Google tasked with helping protect FNF’s internal/external networks from security threats.

>ALPHV Group stating the following: “Hiring Mandiant has the following effects. You end up ruined. They had a good reputation ten years ago. Everyone is aware that they fell, so let’s just be kind to them now. We expect a blog post in retaliation, don’t stub your fingers, warriors.”

>Then further going onto explain that they know how Fidelity National Financial is handling things, including the FNF IT team/Mandiant’s decision to sit still and do nothing as ALPHV wreaks havoc on the systems affected. Going as far as to claim knowing Mandiant/ the FNF IT team at Fidelity’s direct actions at 3am on the day of the incident; “30 people in teams call at 3 am America time and still lost.” as quoted by ALPHV’s blog.

>ALPHV stated that before they disclose whether or not information has been stolen/obtained, they’re allowing Fidelity National Financial to reach out. Including the following statements to mock the company: “I implore FNF investors to talk some reason into these executives who are gullible enough to fall for Mandiant’s disinformation.” As well as: “Better threat intelligence may be obtained from my deceased mother than from Kevin Mandia’s (sellout) firm (Mandiant)”.

>In response to this data breach approximately 10 hours ago at 08:00 GMT they shut down many of their online services. The only public statement that has been made was a security report stating FNF’s awareness to the incident. Other than this no public statement from Fidelity National Financial has been made at this time in regards to the incident or if ALPHV Group has been recognized as involved.

As far as my research has shown, leverage is best for long term. The only disadvantage is you're not able to tap into it at any time, only during upswings, assuming you're just buying and holding not selling at peaks and buying in drawdowns. So if you were getting nearish to retirement you'd want to wait until a big upswing then just switch over to a stable, boring boomer portfolio to ride out the last several years before retirement.

A lot of apps can make money just through monetizing users somehow like ads. ChatGPT got 100m users 6.3x faster than instagram and 4.5x faster than tiktok. That's a lot of users to monetize, even if you forget about everything else machine learning can do. There's a reason all the big financial institutions have had machine learning teams for a few years now.

Personally I'm not putting much in NVDA though, it's already pretty late to hop on that train even assuming it pans out.

A 10% drawdown would put the price around $31

For a 20% drawdown, it would theoretically lose 60% of its value. This would put the price at $18

Only way for TQQQ to continue to out perform QQQ is to have a melt up with very very little sideway action and ONLY CRASHING UPWARDS.
