You learn how cryptocurrency works as well as how web3 and DeFi work so you can identify problems and identify coins that fix those problems. You learn how to read sentiment so you can even identify shitcoins that people want to buy for some reason. You learn how tokenomics and fundamentals work so you can learn which coins have potential to make it. Then finally you learn technical analysis so you can buy as close to the bottom as possible (or DCA in) whilst also selling as close to the top as possible.

You can probably learn all of that by the next bullrun. Then you DYOR on every token, and go with a mixture of gut feeling, calculated risk management, and your own personal understanding of how things work and where you think the market as a whole is going.
