I was once referred by someone for a job offer and given an email address to send my resume to and I sent the email without attaching the resume, then I sent another email saying whoops my bad etc and forgot to attach it again, remembered the 3rd time but no response strangely.

As an HR recruitment agent i can tell you that double checking your resume is vital if you want to have the job. If I notice an error somewhere this means it goes onto the trash pile even if you are well qualified for the job.

This and I actually work for HR. My favorite is looking up their linkedin profile and if I dont see a profile picture or if they are ugly I immediately discard their resume even if they have "good" qualifications. I know ugly is subjective (no its not), but it actually company policy not hire weirdos and uglies (not explicitly stated but very much implied).
