Not a fuddie thread but genuinely speaking it is kind of retarded to lock up linkies for 2 weeks or whatever while the market is pumping unless you REALLY don't plan on selling, right? I have a 50k stack and plan on never selling 10k (which I have staked currently). I was originally going to up my staking stack to 20k but now I'm thinking maybe I just keep the 10k so I'm liquid. 2 weeks is a long time, you can easily miss a sell target in the unlocking period.

What are you bros who were planning to take some profits doing?

You then have 72 hour or something in which to remove your staked link before the window closes and anything you didn't unstake gets put back in the pool. With v0.2, no risk. So enjoy the free tokens. There's token slashing but it's only for node operators. We don't know if the next staking version next year will implement token slashing for community stakers.

Stake 30K link. Earn 1425 link over the next year. You'll have 20K to sell on the way up, while you earn those link. Maybe link goes to $150 and then back down to $60. 1425x$60 =$85K which should be enough to cover your living expenses. Plus you want to keep exposure going into the end of the decade when the price will be much higher ($300-$800). Imagine earning 1400 link a year at $250 or $550. You could live a pretty comfortable life off that.

realistically a make it stack of FIAT is only around 60k and you dump your chainlink profits to a traditional investment vehicle with returns around 7-10% APR over a 30 year period. If you make even 40k off of chainlink and have a modestly decent job, you get to actually retire if you contribute monthly.
