It made me kinda psycho, in that I don't have a great capacity for empathy and didn't have strong social bonds in general.
I was lucky enough to be decently attractive and to date before dating apps existed. I've got a wife and child now, though I'm 35 so it took around a decade longer than it should have to get to the point of wanting a future.
I use discord as a friend simulator some nights and the current teens/early 20s guys have so little hope, some hacking given up on trying to get a relationship. But that's also limiting the sample group down to discord users, which requires a high tolerance for Basketball Americans and just seeking social noise.
I have a few real life friends, but I see them once a month ish.
