The pigeon outside still shits non-stop in front of my house, and bred entire generations of shitters. This Until i will inevitably kill him with a crossbow.

It's called winter. It lasts about a quarter year and only exists in northern and southern latitudes and not in the equatorial zones and is a result oft the Earths axis tilting and the Earths distance to the sun changing throughout the year.
Crazy, I know.
The birds fly towards warmer equatorial zones because it is warmer there during winter.
Incredible, right?

People are either taking the piss or assuming you're from the northern hemisphere.
But yes, the birds are disappearing. See: https://www.wired.co.uk/article/bird-population-decline
and
https://news.cornell.edu/stories/2022/05/global-bird-populations-steadily-decline

Also of note (and in relation to declining bird populations) are insect populations. Easier to just send you straight to Wikipedia for this one, but be sure to actually take a look at and understand the sources: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decline_in_insect_populations
and finally, fish populations: https://datatopics.worldbank.org/sdgatlas/archive/2017/SDG-14-life-below-water.html

Yes, the biosphere is on the brink of collapse or has begun to collapse. Don't have kids. Enjoy the ride.
