Eugenics and overpopulation fears have been a standard topic of concern amongst the ultra rich for more than a century. It's not some big secret. It's not an unwarranted concern either, but it's a "you first" situation where they think they have more worth as a human on account of their financial success. Sadly dysgenics is a top-down problem mostly driven by lower infant mortality and similar advances which the wealthy see first.
