Still not much word about crypto from normies outside of the occasional bitcoin "muh inflation hedge" banter. The problem is that 99% of normies are flat broke right now from this dogshit economy and the only net worth they have is their home equity (that's even if they have a mortgage in the first place).

The crypto surge you've been seeing lately is just bitcoin frontrunning the stock market rally (stock market rallied hard this week, while bitcoin had it's surge a couple weeks ago but it's back to crab and dumping). The ETF hype was just whales gaslighting normies into believing that was the reason for the surge. So yeah, it's just whale games right now so no bullrun yet.

Bro works a government job and seems to think the gov will crush crypto since they don't want anything that could possibly threaten the dollar to exist. Mum is boomer that keeps telling me to by CD's since the rates have gone up. Coworker that was also in crypto last bull still seems luke warm on getting back in. Brother-in-law that is also trying to make it seems more focused on stocks and is only stacking tiny amounts of BTC that he wants to pass down since he doesn't think it will do much near term. Looks like early bull lads. My midwit take is we''l consolidate here for a few weeks before next leg up.

yep. you can figure out who is successful and who is poor easily. if your strategy isn't buy and hold you'll never amount of anything, enjoy the crumbs.

I was talking about crypto with a little person I know and he responded with "that's still a thing?"

Needless to say LINK was $6 and even though I'm not really a fan of buying right now when I was originally in under a dollar, I bought more.

Some people are amazed that they can make so much money from crypto.
They love talking about Palestine and how they should support Israel or the alternative is they keep quiet and take no sides because the story doesn't interest them.
They also love talking about food.

Oh and they're not complaining about being poor but are very poor financially.

Basically everyone I know that has a job and a mortgage feels safe. Their adjustable rate mortgage went from 0 to 5% AND they’re still spending on restaurants, vacations and other bullshit.
Six months ago everyone was worried but since the interest rates have stalled no one is worried.
Coworkers that dabble in “investments” like cryptos and stocks are all betting by pattern that 2024 will be a bullrun year.
The general consumer from what I can see is just spending less while trying to give the opposite appearance.
