Because within recent memory the Eurozone was doing way better than America, and then went to total shit when the 2008 Financial Crisis happened and never recovered. 5 years ago the US surpassed the GDP of the entire continent of Europe and has only continued to push further ahead while Europe's constantly jumped from one country to another stagnating and keeping its overall growth down. America is struggling in it's own ways but Europe is stagnant as fuck in comparison.
