Tell your mother and sisters that you can inherit in advance each a share of the house, to avoid most of inheritance tax when she really kicks the bucket. Even if you have to spend 10k (€ I guess) to have a notary create it, it is extremely worth it.

Put it in a tax efficient wrapper (not sure if the US has anything like an ISA), at the moment there are a shitload of zero risk 4-6% accounts you can get. Just make sure to split it up so that you don't have any unprotected funds if a bank collapses.

If you're retiring long term, putting half of it into a dividend paying tracker ETF will probably also be fruitful. Live off the interest, if your savings are inflation beating, you can also bump up the amount each year.

Not exactly. All creditors can lay claim to the estate. You get your inheritance after your parents debt gets paid. Most millennials are getting rekt anyway. Their parents have the house on a reverse mortgage.

How can someone sign your life away without your consent?
What if you say you live by yourself and have nothing to do with them?

I understand a grown up co-signing for a loan and then getting it after the primary guy dies. But how can you get a debt and then someone who wasnt even a legal adult gets it after your death?

Am i crazy? That just doesnt make sense.

So what if i have bastard kids somewhere and fuck them by getting deep in debt?

>thinking someone is lying about inheritance
When my nana died she only had one daughter (my mum) and me as an only child and left it all to both of us, around 200k went directly to me after paying the lawyers. I was just learning about investing and put it all into 80% of it into ETH over a few months when it was around $150-$300, started lurking /biz/ more instead of /pol/ around the same time. Not knowing anything about investing but just following threads on here back when ETH was talked about a lot, only thing I really knew was that ETH was secondary to Bitcoin and the reasoning I had was that Bitcoin had already peaked and that ETH (because it's #2) would do a repeat and go to the same levels.

Learned about total supply and market caps after that, didn't really matter because I quit my job in 2021 around the breakout. I'm retired at 28 with a house in the best neighborhood in my city and spend my time shitposting on /biz/ and playing golf/reading/synthing out. Currently have 35% of my liquid assets in tech stocks, 25% staked in ETH and the rest in the bank at a 6.15% annual return fund. No mortgage. It really was that simple for some of us.

Wow lucky man. I had no inheritance, but threw all I could from my early engineering career at ETH at the same price range. ~$80k. I had a similar investment thesis; i have a tech background though.
