You start by realizing that Avalanche consensus is objectively superior than every consensus mechanism, and by a lot. Fastest finality sacrificing nothing, also immune to MEV, scales to millions of validators so it doesn't have to use janky and centralized parachain auctions like DOT. Even the security model is better because it flips the liveness/security dynamic. AVAX values security over liveness, which is best for most usecases.
