November 9th is the deadline for SEC and Ripple to agree on settlement court meeting dates, which would be about 6-8 weeks out. If they don't agree on a date by then, the judge will pick the dates for them in a short order.
SEC can't risk the Coinbase MTD case to permanently fuck them without setting a solid legal precedence that will allow them to buckbreak other scammers in the cryptosphere.
Ripple agreed to a certain compromise to survive and work with CFTC regulators under friendlier conditions.
Ripple already signaled that they are willing to cut a check for $250 million before the July judgement. Ripple might even be willing to offer a pound of its flesh to the tune of $770 million to get SEC to agree and piss off to bother others, since the judge did rule that institutional sales were in violation of the law, and Ripple wants to go ahead with the IPO launch and cover the losses from the settlement while moving ahead with their schedule asap.
David already said both IPO and settlements are incoming.
