My boomer parents are in town, they have no idea what's happening with crypto or what the price of anything is. At the peak of the last run my dad offered me $10,000 to invest.

Zero of my friends are talking about or asking me about crypto.

My wife is getting fatter. Unrelated but true.

What are your social circle vibes, anons? It feels like we still have a lot of room to pump before anyone gives a shit.

My dad asked me to buy him $10000 of crypto when BTC was $54k (after the peak in May 2021). I did not. I don't think he's talked about since he asked the price last year at some point. Of course he wasn't interested in buying at $20k.

I met this 70 year old bank executive at a party a week ago. Guy's about to retire and is worth millions. I asked him what his opinion of bitcoin was and all he did was basically rattle off a very NPC script about how "bitcoin is bad and muh money laundering hurr durr I don't trust it" lol biggest buy signal ever. Best part is I'm going to see him at that same party again a year from now when btc is like 150k so can't wait for that lol

Most normalfags here in Tacoland don't know or care about it. Some Zoomers I met were considering buying as a store value for their retirement, granted they work in IT and are fucking smart.
I saw an interview with a Tv mogul sharing that same view early this week.

I work in Social Media and haven't heard a peep about crypto in ages. My entire office was all in on BAYC NFTs, ETH, DOGE, SHIB and other various meme coins, but not a soul mentions anything about it. A few of them talk about tech stocks time to time and thats about it.

These are all Social Media clout chasing/trend hopping NPCs too. It's looking grim.

they are but as the other anon said. once it's over a certain threshold, the fomo kicks in. i am one of the suckers that became interested in BTC once it got close to previous ATH(2018/2020). So for that to happen again. I think BTC would need to reach 50k at least.

Ofc I wouldn't expect the typical chaka/buchon/naco to be talking, but that's the good part, we're a shithole so those people don't matter because they'll never buy in, not in 2030, not in 2050, not in 2099... so the ones who remotely matter are in on the shit man...

Normies still believe crypto is a scam right now, thanks to the incessant news reporting on the FTX crash + SBF last year.

But they'll come crawling back the instant BTC nears it's ATH again. Like clockwork.

Of course, the moment you start seeing stadiums named "Coinbase Arena" and bitcoin ladies dinners on twitter and your granny asking you how to invest in bitcoin, that'll be the new cycle top.

My mom is apoplectic over Israel so I'm trying to limit contact but I still live here. My dad just does whatever Larry Kudlow says which isn't much and rages about fucktard Biden. I told my boomer stock bond retiree uncle to read the bitcoin standard when I was wasted at a wedding so we'll see what happens with that. Zoomer mental health is down bad, lots of substance abuse. Millennials I know are all on the sauce pretty bad. My friends are full scale drug addicts and alcoholics so I'm pretty lonely, as an enlightened zoomie. People are just kind of hoping for the best. Black dick seems like it's on its way up, though. Have found like twenty open tabs and Bookmarks to some pretty wild BBC videos on lots of company phone and laptop repairs lately, especially old Boomers. Too bad we can't invest in Blacked. >What are your social circle vibes, anons?
I knew a few people that went deep into crypto and most sold and stopped paying attention.
I mentioned the pump to one of them and he was completely unaware of it. I don't think he holds crypto anymore, he thinks it's not going anywhere because it wasn't adopted by consumers self-custodying and using it for payments kek. I think he's a good barometer for where the normie mindset is, he follows trends, so he'll probably be chasing once normies start getting into it and blackrock and everyone starts using their salesforce to shill the BTC ETF.
Another guy I know that was deeper into it, he took notice of the pump but he's in the disbelief phase and thinks it's just whales coordinating to chase shorts, even though he knows the ETF narrative. I suspect he'll get back in before all the normies are onboard but not as early as he should be.
One turbonormie I know got into basketball NFTs but idk that space at all.
Last guy I know that retired off his crypto gains, he's been saying since 2021 that 2025 is going to be when we get a new ATH.

A girl I knew wanted me to meet her friends. There was a guy there that was obviously higher on the social ladder than the rest of us and the question of what I did for a living came up. I told him that I make pizza and I accidentally let slip that I invest a little bit in crypto here and there. Later on she said that he told her that she should dump me because I'm a loser and crypto is a scam. The guy surprisingly is in tech and runs diagnostics on lithium batteries or something like that. I was actually interested in his job and I thought I was having a decent conversation with him. Trillions of dollars later and people still don't give a fuck about it apparently. He was young too 26.

What a faggot, unless you were trying to obnoxiously shill the next dogy coin or bitconnect or some shit telling your girl to dump you because you mentioned investing a bit in crypto is a total faggot move. Especially that he didn't even talk to you about it being a scam makes him a coward, and just sounds like some snake shit. It has no bearing on his life but he went about trying to disrupt yours in the snakiest way possible, and while it's good she told you, it should be concerning if she considers him a friend.
>The guy surprisingly is in tech and runs diagnostics on lithium batteries or something like that
Sounds like he was talking big but that's likely just QA, and hardware QA at that lmao.
Basically the bottom of the rung of tech, only support is below them.
The only cool people doing battery tech are material scientist guys trying to innovate new ways of improving battery life, and there's no way someone doing that would call it "diagnostics" kek
