Coinbase is probably the most boring and non-eventful place one can buy and trade crypto. I don't think they've ever been in trouble over anytbing.
It's likely the best if you're American.
That said, I only use them as a means of converting fiat. I still do 99.9% of my trading on Arb.

I had my account locked for 60 days doing two ACH transfers. Never using them again. It’s a shame because they offer decent returns for holding usdc but not worth the risk imo
