New pork request. Good news for LEU baggies.

>Improve long-term, domestic enrichment capabilities for low-enriched uranium and high-assay low-enriched uranium.
>This is a national security priority as dependence on Russian sources of uranium creates risk to the U.S. economy and the civil nuclear industry that has been further strained by Russia’s war in Ukraine. Without action, Russia will continue its hold on the global uranium market to the detriment of U.S. allies and partners. To be successful, this initiative would also require a long-term ban on enriched uranium product imports from the Russian Federation into the United States.

Buddy.. have you seen the yen? Do you understand what's happening right now?
Either BOJ is forced to sell US bonds to use the dollars to buy yen (forcing yields higher, blowing up US banks) OR BOJ is forced to end YCC, killing the carry trade, both cause huge meltdown
this singlehandedly alone is enough to cause the move today overnight, let alone the overall macro backdrop that is becoming more and more apparent by the day, let alone earnings today

I think as early as the end of Q1 2024 could happen if inflation keeps being nice. The interest rate was increased pretty quickly so being willing to back it off quickly will also be important to avoid an over-correction.

Obviously a million things could happen to change that though. I think oil might possibly go space shuttle status in 2024 and that might be pretty bad for inflation.

Wouldn't you say a correction is a measurable effect?
Is that unreasonable?
>complete economic collapse bears want
We only "want" it in that it is a completely natural, completely normal part of the business / debt cycle. It will be a good thing - in the same way that a wood fire allows for a new, better forest to grow from the ashes. It has happened over and over throughout human history, 'just another one of those'.
It has already started, started 1 year ago - you could see it in the PMI / ISM data, telegraphed far in advance - it just takes a very, very long time for a ship that holds 8 billion people to turn around. it doesn't turn on a dime. It will only get worse, you have seen literally nothing yet - it is all 100% inevitable

Lol. The reversal started exactly on July 27th, as ECB backed off of hawkish monetary policy; where Fed was continuing to be hawkish and raise interest rates and ECB could not due to economic weakness = dollar sharply rise
This is all a result of yields, the bond market.
Everything else has made it worse, but the underlying issue is the bond market. We are in the worst bond bear market in more than 200 years.

A lot of these bonds now are in grave danger. It’s like selling insurance to someone who’s going to go to the electric chair in a couple of months.”
The fact that the price paid was so much higher than any other bid—and just enough to avoid payouts on one of the references in the CMBX 6—could constitute market manipulation by someone on the long side of a CDS trade.
In many instances, it’s just a rigged market for billions and billions of dollars.

Bull oil thesis for the next 1-2 years is a few different data points.

One is what the companies are signaling in terms of expected cash flows. XOM buying PXD. CVX buying HES plus announcing increased dividends and share buybacks starting in January.

Smaller players have similar signals, just more muted due to scale. PBR is voting on creating a cash reserve fund which they'd only need if a lot of money is coming in soon and they want to save it for a rainy day. Equinor has been in a share buyback and dividend yield growth program since February. All things companies do when they expect excess cash flow.

Another data point is a shift into offshore oil. Shale / fracking almost put them out of business 10 years ago. All the drillships and rigs bought on credit ended up defaulting and the shipyards didn't finish most of them. Shipyards now want 50% upfront in cash on a $800m asset. And even if you pay it won't be done for 2+ years. So the offshore drilling and rigs supply can't really expand.

Onshore like Permian Basin are slowing down production, which suggests offshore demand might increase soon. This seems confirmed in a few ways. Sudden interest in offshore fields like the ones near Guyana. Also Transocean releases quarterly fleet reports: the day rate to lease drillships and rigs is rising fast. In April the drillship average was $363k/day. In July $390k, more than projected in April. This month it's $416k, more than projected in July. In earnings calls they keep mentioning that clients want to book contracts farther in advance, for longer, with more options to extend, and are willing to accept higher rates. If onshore supply falls and offshore assets can't be increased then prices will continue to rise.

Finally there's the Russia embargo and Middle East political instability angle. You know how that works I assume.

Should about cover it!

There's 2 reasons PBR drilled for oil on the bottom of the chart this week.

The first was a proposed vote to allow ex-politicians as directors or board members. In 2016 they passed an anti-corruption law that banned it because they had a real corruption problem. So reversing that law could be seen as opening the door to future management problems.

The second was the creation of a cash reserve. There's been government pressure recently to invest more in renewable energy as a jobs program. Obviously shareholders buy PBR to pump cash out of the ground and into their bank account, not to subsidize Brazil's employment rate and carbon emissions. So when they said they were "making a cash reserve" for "various purposes" like dividends, servicing interest, etc. people thought they might be cutting the dividend and earmarking that cash for investing in renewable energy instead. Combined with bylaws that might suggest incoming leadership changes a lot of people feared a change of course (if not worse) and jumped ship.

They've since come out with a press release that the real purpose of the cash reserve is just to hold cash that will be paid out as dividends and to please ignore all those other possibilities. If you've seen their dividend payout schedule it looks like it was created by a drunken monkey throwing a dart at a calendar so it makes sense to have a place to park their cash and smooth out payments a bit. Especially since the alternative is to wildly fire off special dividends from the hip and send their balance sheet on a wild ride.

I'm not sure how trustworthy that arrangement is in the long term, but even if they intended to cut the dividend it's clear that they aren't doing it anymore after that selling pressure. So it seems fine for now, just watch it closely if you're involved.

You simply weren't ready. that's one of the things you learn with age. For some reason or another you hadn't paid your dues with women enough to recognize their wants and needs. They're pretty simple. feed em and fuck em and make them coom. They're emotionally retarded and it colors all their thoughts. it takes them minutes to process emotions that take seconds, 15minutes -20 to process emotions that should take 1. weeks for a day, years for a month. but if you get the basic needs done she is the cruelest most calculating criminal minded adjutant a man could ask for.

This anon >>56472227 got a lot of them. I think NOV is also one.

For the record I'd be careful investing directly into offshore drilling. A lot of those companies either declared bankruptcy or leveraged to the tits in order to survive the shale boom. A capital-intensive business with a weak balance sheet or a lot of leverage in a high interest environment isn't a recipe for a winner.

For example, RIG's day rates have been rising 5% per quarter for a year and they're still not profitable because of its massive debts and depreciating assets. And during the last run-up in '06-'08 RIG had half a dozen -20% pullbacks you had to diamond hands through before reaching the top. So there's a lot of price volatility even when things go right. I'm personally using cash secured puts and covered calls to try to offset some of that with collected premiums and keeping my sizing small (5-10% of port for the whole sector) in case it doesn't work out.

no market is free. Capitalism isn't free of coersion or barriers. It can be dammed up controlled used. but every one who doesn't pay the dues up front will pay at the end with interest. You can lie cheat and steal if it is efficient. but you will be outrun and outgunned by others. Sharks aren't whales, no matter how the alphabets pray to St. Jude. If they fail in their duty as extravagantly as they have they will be destroyed and replaced by something more efficient.

The EU is such a clusterf8gg. Insane earnings, insanely low P/Es, price gouging at ATH... falling like there's no tomorrow. But I guess it sort of makes sense since the earnings are probably gonna be worse next year as things get more normalized and inflation has fallen a bit (the price gouging will slow down).
Still, I don't quite understand why European banks are valued so low. They beat estimates and their own earnings from last year by such huge margins. Almost 10% divvies. And they aren't even close to ATH.
They have been one of my best stocks though. Typically they yields 20% each year if you consider the divvies.
Naturally it has to do with the US bonds once again almost touching 5%. I honestly think it will amount to be a nothinburger since nobody cares about unrealized losses (just look at BoA and JP morgan's unrealized losses, wtf) but of course bears will try to use what they can to try to achieve another 2022.

Nigquitity drying up. They aren't just handing out student loans to nogs so they can buy luxury cars and get their nails did every week. It's just like 2008 except student loans aren't getting bailed out like housing, they are trying but it's a failure so far. With the jews losing their powersource after roe v. Wade got overturned it's not likely the banks are going to be saved and the nogs are going to riot making it worse. It's niggers and jews again but this time Whites are tapped out and jews are fighting against their renegade chocolate golems on a global scale, spy 200 is best case scenario. Look at nvda, it dropped on good earnings at it's half the P/E of AMD. $truff is the only bull play

>They sold off nuclear to the French and cant do it anymore
>They bought spanish windmills but it makes only losses because quality sucks
>They remain able to build high-tech gas turbines, but our green economy minister will take care that they lose that business
Help bros, we are fucked, there will be no energy on the germoney except imported electricity from France and Czech, and solar panels from China
