Is it a villain you want? I’ll play the part. (sips his whiskey) After all, what is a drama without a villain? What is the building of this grand road if not a drama? This business is not for the weak of heart.

It’s a thorny, brutal affair that rewards the lion for his ferocity.
What of the zebra? What of the poor zebra? Well, the zebra is eaten as the zebra should be.

Make no mistake, blood will be spilled. Lives will be lost. Fortunes will be made. Men will be ruined. There will be betrayal and scandal. A perfidy of epic proportions.

You see, the secret I know is this: all of the history is made by the lion. We drag the poor zebra, kicking and braying, staining the earth with his cheap blood. History doesn’t remember us fondly but then history is written by the zebra for the zebra.

M8, when these companies make such big business moves, there is always something in the background that we are not privy to. Don't worry about it too much.

On another note
>US composite index above 50
And people were saying last year how the economy would get completely shafted. Sure, the economy has slowed down a bit and some useless people have gotten fired and are now working multiple part time jobs but so what? Earnings are great and this season is typically extremely strong... I wouldn't want to be a bobo this week as Amazon and META absolutely demolish expectations

>> No.56453008

back to: normal enough to raise kids
will take a very long time. and in that time, EMs will flourish. the answer to "so what" won't be visible to you for 15-20 years. the population will dwindle and tax receipts will probably not catch up to interest payments on the public debt without cuts in "mandatory" programs, on top of restructuring the military.

delta measures the change in price of the option contract as the underlying goes up or down. The closer to 1 the more expensive they get and the closer to the money the strike likely is. so for the amzn with .39 delta every $1 in share price that amzn goes up you'll get $39 on your contract. this works both directions, looks like you're in at 3.40 i see amzn had a high today so far 128 it's now at 126 so i assume you've lost about 15% of the value of that contract. or like 80$. All contracts with less than 60 days to expiration get theta decay exponentially too but it's not really a value of importance if you don't wanna hold it a long time.

JETS, an ETF consisting of airline stocks, has been continuing a uniform linear downward trend for the past 3 months. Now down about 35% since mid July.

I can give more examples if you'd like. Many stocks across multiple sectors are breaking 52 week lows. Bond yields pushing 20 year highs, while inflation rolls over.
The simple truth is that a collapse is coming. Ignore it if you will, but it is coming. Today's asset values do not make sense under the current bond structure and inflation expectations. Something is wrong. Someone is going to get fucked.

Even with all that being a landlord is barely profitable. I know people who do it a lot as a side business and there's really this narrow band of detached starter homes that's consistently profitable and even then they do 90% of the maintenance themselves. If they hired a property management company they wouldn't make any money.
