The halvening is still very far. You're falling for a big pump and dump scheme. If you want my advice, take profits.

The market is forward looking, but the market is also retarded.
It's not the halvening getting priced in (it never was in the past), just the FTX manipulation getting priced out.

it went from 3k to 14k pre-halving last cycle, it's not anything special. it is signaling that BTC isn't dead yet and it's not over however. captcha had PND in it...

Yes but this time is unironically different, and all those years didn't make u a good trader, obviously Last bull we were looking at 2 halvings before. It could have been a coincidence. It took a lot of conviction to bet the halving would trigger a bull. This time there are 3 halvings, 3 coinciding bull runs. No one thinks it's a coincidence anymore. Everyone knows the cycle is real now. Now the smart traders are aware that it will be front run. Trust me. I've been at this for awhile also. Act accordingly.

I think December 2024 or January 2025. But it's hard to call. The best way to call the top is when you see mania everywhere. Articles about black women making tons of money in crypto is probably the single biggest indicator. It combines the black indicator with the woman indicator. I sold at 55k last bull when I saw that.

>> No.56446646

There are a lot of old metrics that have been falling off since last bull such as nupl, rhodl, fagi, rainbow chart. There wasnt a blowoff top, it was a double top that made a huge range. Alt mania mostly coincided with btc pumps rather than right after. There's a lot that really was different about last bull, so I wouldn't be surprised if the halving also doesnt play out like it has historically this time.

It's hard to say considering the usual stock-to-flow rainbow chart got BTFO last run. I'm personally less concerned with timing the top and more concerned with being able to sell everything when my portfolio reaches a certain value.

My problem with a strategy like that is that I was around for Mt. Gox and am always nervous that whatever exchange I'm using to dump my bags will break down before I get my payout. The FTX meltdown, while caused for different reasons than Mt. Gox, still shows that a large exchange can still implode for any reason at any time, typically near the top of a bull market.

the problem with all these "metrics" is that bitcoin hasn't even been around that long. they're trying to extrapolate patterns from a brand new asset class that only has 12 years of data.

Depends a lot on the US election results. If Trump wins I'd expect the run to continue to maybe mid-2025. If not then 2024 is the peak.

>>56448568
Yeah that adds to my point. Also crypto bull runs have always happened in low or 0% interest environment. And when the Fed pivoted, thats when the uptrend reversed. FTX was more of a coup de grace. So I wonder what happens when they only pause or cut back slightly but stay well above 0%.

>> No.56448744

2019 had a ~60% echo bubble on less bullish news. a similar echo right now would take bitcoin to 45k. assuming the market is more efficient and diluted now than it was in 2019, you could conservatively expect a 50% echo, which would take BTC to 40k. there is more room for this market to be retarded, don't worry.

Well, the bulls are yet to come, and a lot of cool tokens with utility, especially those providing payment solutions like UTK and CYMI.
