Sup /biz/ I'm graduating from uni with a degree in accounting in the spring and I need another internship at the start of '24.
I interned at a small PA firm last year but I have no real desire to work in public after I graduate.
Though I still plan to earn my CPA, I want to actually get hired after my internship so my question is if I have the same chance of getting hired as a PA intern vs an industry intern?

Idk brah I never had an internship and got a job in industry. Been doing this for 14 years now. Worked my way up to senior analyst and make $100k at home.

I'm not worried about being able to get a job in industry, I would just like to get a job out of an industry internship so they can help pay for CPA prep materials.
How much do you work at home?

It varies wildly. Month end I work 8-9 hours a day. Today I did literally nothing but sit on one meeting where I said four words maybe.

That seems to be what I hear the most from people in industry and what really sold me on it.
Working 60 hours weeks in the off season at a big 4 just isn't very desirable.
