For the big oil companies I think XOM, CVX, and SHEL are all good candidates to buy and hold a long time. XOM and CVX have better commitment to dividends.

A more efficient 1-2 year play that still emphasizes dividends could be PBR.A or EC. Very attractive price and absolutely pumping cash straight out of the ground. Part of that is political risk because they're in South America but the extremely high dividend helps you take profits automatically and mitigates that risk somewhat. But I wouldn't buy and hold them until retirement or anything.

Another alternative with more long term could be EQNR. It's also priced pretty attractively compared to the megacaps with big dividends augmented by buybacks. Plus significant exposure to renewable energy so it's poised to be agile depending on how energy works in the future. Just keep an eye on it because if renewables keep getting heemed the next few years and they refuse to back down it might be better to walk away.

>oil prices
as mentioned CNQ's netback breakevens are similar to XOM's, at about $35/bbl if memory doesn't betray. Decline rates in Alberta are superior to Permian in general too, but I suspect the corporate decline rates between XOM and CNQ are similar or possibly even tilted in favor of XOM thanks to their offshore business. But declines are of no issue either. CNQ has massive reserves too. Fundamentally CNQ is almost just as solid a company as XOM. Less diversified but also less leveraged.
>environmental regulation
I think that's a nothingburger. Oil companies keep improving on the ESG front all the time, and the Turdeau boogeyman has proven to be less dangerous to oil producers than the Biden boogeyman over in the US. Alberta is also very oil friendly.

Nice job pulling off an EOD pump to fresh highs on $10k of volume too. Might bait a few new retards into the trap next week.
I don't understand what compells scammers like you to choose a life of robbing the unintelligent, but I must admit you seem pretty decent at it. Hope no one here falls for this bullshit though.

I landed on laundromat because it supposedly delivers a really great roi and my location would be perfect for one especially if it caters to a college crowd and serves up white women expensive coffee while they wash their clothes and study for their useless degrees.

Feel like equities are going to be dog shit for awhile so I need to get into assets that generate revenue. I'm probably going to have to try to find someone to partner with though, someone that has already established a business. I have a few local people in mind already that I have a relationship with but I'm going to have to flesh this out more before I actually bother them about it.

It's called distribution. It's where the massive buyers a month ago that organized the pump start selling their inventory to retards at a much higher price than they paid. They'll never unload everything, but even 10-20% is enough to keep the float tight and generate healthy profit on the scheme.
You could prove me wrong in a few minutes by providing a serious thesis for the position you're shilling, anything beyond a single sentence rehashing their meme of a press release. Sadly, there is no thesis, so that'll never happen.
Pretty obvious why you've made a sudden appearance this past week, and not a month ago.

Earnings was bad. CEO quoted saying "we dug our own grave with cybertruck" and that it wouldn't be profitable for at least a year. Their market share is also going down despite slashing prices on lots of cars to try to stay competitive.

With higher rates and some global instability people are more hesitant to speculate on stocks that might be overvalued, especially if they also show bad earnings and guidance. I'm prefacing this by saying I'm not an amazing chartologist so take with a grain of salt. Generally it seems there is a lot of upwards bias in the sector for the time being

>NEM
has been consolidating down and closed the gap, is now sitting close to a pretty confident looking support at $38.50 so if you like that company I think the price and timing is already pretty good, though note that it has clearly underperformed AEM
>AEM
has broken through its 100d MA but may be met with some resistance at that $50 mark. It has kept riding its 30d MA but upon a pullback I could see it retracing to $48, or $47 if that gap is to be filled
>GDX
hitting its 100d MA but could break through if some of the sector leaders like AEM are to be looked at as an example. Higher highs and higher lows makes me think it might not consolidate meaningfully to the downside just yet but on the other hand it touched its $30 resistance so it might crab in the $29-$30 range a bit or break down to test $28
>GOLD
broke through 100MA like a knife through butter, 200MA and resistance seems to be at $17.50. In the very short term it has painted a lower high but kept steady at $17 support. Looks slated to keep running.
>AGI
testing the $17.50 resistance, may consolidate to $17 before (and if) bullrun continues

FYI I have no positions involving TSLA or any other automaker. 95% of my port is buy and hold longs, I'm not some perma-bear with an apocalypse fetish.

The fact is anyone buying Tesla at this price hoping it's a fair value is expecting growth over 25% per year. 25% growth per year is hard when you're at the top of the S&P500. Really hard.

So when earnings are bad, CEO commentary is bad, fundamentals aren't full steam ahead, money is more expensive than it's been in years, and people start getting concerned about international stability they're going to pull out of these kinds of investments.

And when I say "people" I mostly don't mean random retail investors like us. Financial institutions have different priorities than we do. If your day job is to manage billions of dollars in a way that minimizes risk of capital drawdown you're going to look at those conditions and think twice before staying long in a position like that. And when you take your billions of dollars out you're going to move the price. The price doesn't just drop 20% on a top 10 market cap firm unless it's driven by institutions.

It may come back up, it may not. But it did drop, and that's why.
