all eyes were on this treasury auction, to the point that it was making headline news and alerting normies to the situation
think about it - how many "normal" people would know that there was an auction today for 20 year treasury bonds?
if there starts to be headlines on it like this:
https://www.marketwatch.com/story/treasurys-13-billion-auction-of-20-year-bonds-seen-as-test-of-demand-c6b9ecf7

you can't have treasury auctions making front page news - do you get what I'm saying? a treasury auction should be a super boring thing that nobody is interested in - the fact that it is front page news means that they have to intervene; that's what happened here

Advice from the year 2000: before committing a large part of your resources to those contracts, check that the customers are solvent.
I was on a sales pitch in ealry 2000 as an IT consultant, and our sales people were falling over themselves because the client was a startup that had a business plan of raising 100 million $. I got a bad vibe from the client CEO. I told our sales people that I thought he had NO MONEY at all, and they should offer him a small teaser contract first, like 30K worth. He did not sign because he didnt have the 30K, and we never heard from him again. He ws hoping we would build a prototype for free as part of our "investment" in his startup.

AAPL is currently worth ~3 trillion. Lets suppose NVDA over the next 20 years grows into a real present-dollar equivalent value of 3 trillion. That's a 5-6% CAGR.
That might seem pretty mediocre, but it's a real return, above inflation. There would likely be additional capital returns along the way as well.

If I ran some multi-billion dollar fund and had to choose between megacap tech and bonds, I'd go long tech any day. Of course, as a small individual investor, I'd rather buy certain other opportunities that I see much better valuations and much more upside in.

No point sizing an overhyped piece of shit this early. It was shilled for over one fucking year and it still only reached 500. The point is that AMZN has been at that same valuation for 3 years now. Revenue is a poor comparison because the whole value of AMZN is largely attributed to AWS at this point. In that sense, they're not truly diversified. The rest of the business is somewhat irrelevant. If we were to see some major antitrust regulation that hits AWS, amazon would be gutted.
