how do we still not have a viable form of synthetic meat? all fake meat products out right now taste like shit. it can't be that hard to make beans and tofu taste like beef and pork. isn't this a massive untapped market?

Why do we need it? Everything from animals is sustainable and profitable. Even the shit from animals it’s not like it’s a waste product we use it as fertilizer. I don’t understand why people want to eliminate the animal other than I guess it’s mean to kill them

The vegetarian market is 10% of the western population on average and growing.

You have to keep farm animals alive and happy until you want to slaughter them else they won't taste great and you will be breaking regulations resulting in massive fines.

The protein profile of meat is completely different to plant products, it would be very difficult to get right since it's so inferior to meat.

Vat grown meat and bugs could eventually replace real meat, but people are pretty squeamish on bugs and the process on vat grown meat is very slow, I'm not sure why.

if the world was just we would spend time putting people into giant breeding domes and turn every child produced into hamburger for consumption. maybe save every 5th or 7th child to be kept inside the dome. also turn people 70 and above into hamburger if they don't pay a fine every year. thoughts?
