1. EU is not a "country"
2. Why would you brag about your rent being high?

Do you always post before you think? I believe it's social media that conditioned you to be this way, you're programmed so I'll let this one slide

Average salary in EU is like 30-50k area, it seems like US salaries are just higher if you are not a complete retard. Whereas in EU the ceiling is a bit lower so the difference between poor and dumb and rich and smart is smaller

Can't believe I almost went environmental engineering. It's way easier to be the smartest person in a room with a bunch of dumbies and get promoted. Imagine doing math and shit all day and your boss has been doing math and shit for 15 years and one day that can be you for an extra $10-20k. In fact, you'll have done so much math and shit that they'll give you even more, harder math and shit with that raise. Lmao.

i got a bit of insight as to why. Pretty much you have indians right. More or less they go for the highest paying fields that have the most "direct" degree to job route. Doctor, pharmacist, engineer, programmer, whatever. Obviously Doctor and pharmacist are hard. But there was definately a few year period where pharmacist was on a small scale what software engineer was. Meaning, you get a BS in biology or chemistry, you realize you're not smart enough to be a doctor, so you go to PharmD school and you get guaranteed 100k job.

So Mech E was the same thing at some point in time. I remember when I was like 11-12, some guy from india, like one of my uncles, friend's son came, and we took him around to get his basic paper work and initial set up going. He had a BS in Mech E in india and came for an MS. He got the MS and got a got paying job at ford. This was in 2010-12ish.

TLDR is, that ok you got all those races, indians, the different flavors or arabs, and different flavors of chink asians, who all saw the opportunity during those years of "Oh theres shortage of MechE's in the US, we go there and get a BS in it and get 100k" This was for the immigrant ones, and the ones who were born here.

So at some point the supply increased, and it increased with people who did it for money not interest, which caused a bunch of mediocre ones, and gives employers increased supply and ability to be more strict and then jew the wages, and inspite of saturation having been reached a while back, alot of folks still did it on faith that it was still viable, and boom, thats the current scenario.

actually im 26 now, so maybe my year range was off. But it was definitely in the 2010's.

But yeah essentially all the jeet, chinks, and haajis of domestic and foreign origin bum rushing fields they had no interest in, just whatever you gotta do to make a 100k, is what caused it in your field, and what caused it in CS and even fucking pharmacy lmao

pharmacy got fucked because about 15 years ago, they pushed hard to build new schools to address "muh pharmacist shortage".
So the new schools were built, demand didn't increase and in turn, schools had to lower their admission standards to fill seats. It was a downward spiral. Pharmacy is also heavily influenced by retail giants so I'm sure that had a lot to do with increasing the supply of graduates.
That, in addition to what you're talking about with people flooding into pharmacy as a safe, high-paying career completed screwed the profession. This will continue to happen to all high-paying "white collar" jobs in the future.

increasing the supply of these essential careers with an inelastic demand is never a bad thing.
Look at the absolute state of healthcare in the world right now, there's a severe shortage of healthcare staff like nurses and doctors purely because of the doctor and nurse unions restricting the supply. That's why it costs 500k to be cured of cancer.
We need endless doctors and nurses to fix this bullshit
