Is college worth it if I am poor and come from a family that has no power and connections?

>> No.56368579

yes its the only way to get yourself out of poverty in your current mindset. take some adderall, wreck the curve for all the rich midwits, and youll realize that you are capable and powerful if you want to be

>> No.56368582

You sound like an excellent candidate for massive loads of debt.

It's only worth it if you got to ivy League, or a top school.

Get a full time job and go to school online part-time. It takes longer, but it's cheaper and you'll graduate with no debt.

yeah just study something useful. working your way up to a medicore $80-120k/year office job by your 30s is worlds better than being a non-degreed $40k/year wagie or a HECKIN BASTE AND REDPILLED TRADESMAN making $80k/year at the cost of grinding your knees and spine to dust.

College is not worth it unless you go to some state school with zero debt or go to elite schools, aka Ivy League +3.

The question we should be asking is how to get a bullshit degree that impress people and employers.
Large, global institutions must respect the quality of third world shit schools for 'diversity', otherwise an H1B visa would never pass muster.
>what do you mean this associates degree from Timbuktu isn't on par with this candidate from Harvard?!!
Using that logic, I'm trying to explore ways to get a Phd from Bangkok or wherever by bribery or the most minimal means possible.

i studied mechanical engineering at a second rate state school cause it was really cheap and got scholarships and grants to pay for half of it. My life was pretty shit for a while but eventually when you get established in a big company the nepokids start getting filtered and you can do well if you're not a retard

>> No.56369934

>>56368573
Yes, but choose your field sensibly. You're poor either because you have generational poverty due to inherent defects in your cognition and maybe even other aspects of your physiology or because someone very recent in your lineage just fucked up and didn't put someone on the right path and your bloodline is still working out those problems. If it's the latter, this is your chance to turn it around by selecting correctly. If it's the former, you can at least get yourself to middle class retard status and you might be able to charm your way into the pants of someone above your station or you might be able to meet a hot enough girl beneath your station that can allow you to have attractive enough kids to sleep with people above their station. It's all dependent on what sort of poverty you are a victim of.

It's high risk, high reward.. i think you have much better options than gambling.
The dropout rate is insane, most people that begin a college education never complete it.
A large portion of the majors does not give you marketable skills/qualifications, and a good chunk of those that does provide some actual skills sought by employeers, isn't more valuable than a trade education.
There is also the issue of debt, an missed work experience, missed income.

For some people college really is worth it, and it's less of a gamble, the more you ask questions like "is college worth it?", the less likely it is that you are in that category of people.

Yes, it's absolutely fucking essential. Don't listen to the NEET's and boomers who tell you it's worthless. No one talks about it, but there's a huge powergap between the turbo-wagie jobs like retail that pay $15 an hour and the somewhat acceptable jobs that pay $50k a year. There are tons of people working the wagie jobs into their 30's because they simply couldn't advance out of them. Without a degree, there's nothing protecting you from that fate. A degree in an employable subject is the best way to get through that gap. The only alternative is a trade school, but keep in mind that your career will start off strong and then almost completely stagnate from your 20's to your 60's.

It's better than most of niggers do so yeah, also, if you can use it to leverage and get a specialization, a master or a doctorate you're set for life, cuz most retards settle for just a degree, but idk what are your expectations, you can end up like me waging to get capital for your shitcoin gambling addition throwing 3/4 your paycheck into stuff like pond, or you can be free

College isn't worth it even if you're rich, or middle class, because the USA has fucking retarded priorities where we pay boomers and hot but stupid women and dudebros way too much money for acting like clowns then wonder why CEO Roastie (29) tanked the entire company and got raped to death by a negro. Countries like Iran, Russia, Japan, China, Germany etc. all invest in their people and are becoming more powerful as a result but burgerland is in end stage clownism where engineers are only paid 70k starting, the same as in 2006.

50k is nothing you stupid faggot, unless he's doing it for free 100k in debt is literally not worth making 50k. Also
>retail 15/hr
With a car and a CDL he can be a delivery cuck making 23/hr or even a truckoid driver making 100k+.

Your post reads like a shit take by someone in his 40s making a comfortable 6 figs that doesn't realize how fucking SHIT it would be in most areas to be making only 50k at 30, or even in your 20s.

The 15/hr sales clerk at Orangetheory is just fucked, plain and simple, that doesn't making 50k for 100k in debt wouldn't be turbofucked.

>> No.56371184

>>56371175
$50k is the starting point for anyone with a degree, higher if you studied something useful. delivery cuck will be stuck at $23/hour for life. truck drivers rarely make $100k and if they do, it comes at the cost of being away from home and living in a rolling prison cell for weeks at a time.
