Any fellow truckerfags here? Any tips on going OO? Good company gigs? Got a little over a year of exp under my belt at 23, gross 70k a year at US Xpress, just looking for tricks of the trade and whatnot.

about to quit trucking for the following reasons:
>hours are insane (13-14 hour days) and I'm starting to have bowel problems
>full of brown people and likely to get worse
>pay going down
>recession soon

sucks because I do like the job generally

Drive for a trash collecting company
preferably Teamster shop
Garbage is kinda recession proof
home daily

Get HazMat/ Tanker endorsement
Deliver fuel

Drive for aggregate, sand and gravel company
may be negatively effected by a recession
may be not

I’d say only about half the truckers I come across are fat, which is average in muttland. I suppose shitty diet and little movement all day could be to blame though.

Eurochad here. Do local food service, can rec. if the company is good and uses carts and not pallets. Truck is packed in correct order by night staffers. 50 hour work week, 90k USD a year. About 25-30 hours in the cabin per week, rest is off-loading and various other tasks outside. About 7-9.000 steps per day. 5 different routes, I know them to perfection, literally no other person in the world drives them better than I do and thats a pretty neat feeling. In great shape, can run 10k in 40 minutes much of which is helped by moving around on the job. Fuck driving 9 hours a day, those fuckers are going to get a heart attack at 40, but thats the cost of being a lazy bastard IMO

Oh yeah forgot recession proof, 100% job security if youre not a low IQ slob. The world can end but old fucks in retirement homes and kids in schools still need to eat.
