Have any of you actually played a GOOD nft game with solid mechanics and a FUN (emphasis on FUN) gameplay loop that didn't rely solely on buying the nfts and shit

>> No.56312529

do people still care about nft games in the year of our lord 2023? im pretty sure most third worlders have already moved on to something else by now

>> No.56312534

no such thing exists because they all work with really obvious ponzinomics

Cute animal.

Can't we just derail op's thread and talk about these fine specimens instead of something that clearly generates zero engagement/feedback nowadays? Thanks

Probably Blocklords? I did have fun with that one. Mostly because AoE V was such a fucking disappointment for me. II is still miles ahead.

Splinterlands was cool too but I already liked Hearthsone a lot.
>>56312529
The whole bullshit with lending nfts and whatever was always a mistake designed by developers and vc's/early investors to milk as much money as possible. Always avoided those games like the fucking plague.

congrats you just summed up 90% of rpg's and every single jrpg to ever exist. you also summarized almost all open world games. and most multiplayer games as well specially anything from ea, ubisoft and square enix. and blizzard.

none of those games come with the false promise of letting you "earn" money just by playing them. that much is for sure

>what are lootboxes
>what are community marketplaces
>what are item blackmarkets
that's only when talking about mp games. singleplayer rpg grindfests are boring and don't even give you anything in return at all other than releasing retarded dlc that was (clearly) cut content from earlier in development.

seethe.

cancerous practice that's plagued the industry for well over a decade by now

not intended by the developers unless you're talking about the steam community market. otherwise refer to point 1

this literally breaks some of those game's ToS mate. lol
devs want you to spend money on their game, not to earn money by playing. it's always been that way

you want to know why it's hard to make fun web3 games? there's no infrastructure, getting gas to your players is a nightmare, if you try to financialize your game to at least subsidize gas you will be botted to hell, and that's the other thing - BOTS - you think botting is bad in your gay multiplayer games, imagine trying to fight it when your game is on a blockchain. it's going to take some time before game devs can do anything meaningful with the technology other than print bullshit memecoins and NFTs with a thin veneer of "gameplay" slapped on top
>>56312606
I don't get why you're simping for MMO and gacha games as if they are somehow better than NFT garbage. your argument is that the player knows they are getting fleeced and wasting their lives BUT they have no financial incentive to do it, therefore it's better? NFT games are a natural evolution of these disgusting business models
