how come no one here ever tells you to just buy bitcoin

>> No.56304298

>>56304284
Because buying bitcoin is not advisable.

>> No.56304310

Because people on this board are gambling addicts that will instead go from one thing to the next while losing money vs just hodling btc.

>> No.56304312

>>56304284
We don't post very much because the people here are dogshit and can't hold a good discussion.

People will argue eth is decentralized and Craig is satoshi it's not worth stepping in their shit.

>> No.56304316

Someone told me not to buy bitcoin yesterday. They said you can't buy anything with bitcoins because all you'll get is megabytes.

>> No.56304355

>>56304316
it's amazing how people still do not understand / cannot accept that the intrinsic value in bitcoin is the network itself, there is nothing else like it

Because it's like telling someone to buy a house, or brush their teeth, or to not shit their pants. It doesn't require any thought, it's just what you should be doing as the default.

>> No.56304387

Imagine if you dca'd into Bitcoin weekly for the past 6 years and were down against inflationary shitcoin fiat

That's why. The era of "just mindlessly buy BTC" is over. You have to time the market or do more risky things to keep up with the hyperfinancialized dystopia the economy has become.

>> No.56304396

>>56304284
Should I buy Bitcoin? I still don't know why it would go up.
I mean if it goes up and becomes extremely scarce, people will stop buying it. There's no reason to hold onto something that doesn't do anything.

>> No.56304415

>>56304396
>if it goes up and becomes extremely scarce, people will stop buying it
You're right, that's why nobody buys gold or land, they're too scarce and expensive.

>> No.56304422

I do that every now and then. Literally nobody responds or does so. Hell I even told some of my siblings a year or two ago to just buy bitcoin and none of them have. Next year's going to be pretty annoying when it gets in the news again and I have to hide that I'm in 7fig heaven.

>> No.56304428

>>56304415
Gold and land actually do something. BTC just sits there, it has no use cosmetic or otherwise.

>> No.56304473

>>56304428
You could make the same argument for fiat currencies, and yet here we are. Bitcoin is worth something because people ascribe value to it, same as any other currency.

>> No.56304477

Okay now explain fiat currency, what does that shit do?

>> No.56304481

>>56304473
Fiat is backed by the military.
I really think if you buy BTC you're just gambling on a moonshit. US Gov would come out with their own crypto coin before they would use BTC.

listen lil bro... you cant send gold bars anywhere in the world easily or out of shithole countries without some border guard taking them, bintcoin solves this

>> No.56304592

Because stocks like Microsoft and NVidia will outperform Bitcoin henceforth but there are plenty of lower cap alts you can still beat the general tech sector on.

You can send poop emojis too but you don't see anyone paying twenty grand (2017 dollars) for them.

>> No.56304874

>>56304690
No. The biggest altcoin by market cap is a scam that's continually losing value against bitcoin, and everything with a lower market cap is shit. You have to remember that no cryptocurrency actually does anything. People figured out how to run AI models and websites before the blockchain. The entire point is that it's a rare asset. LINK will never be worth anything, ETH will never be worth anything, the trillion different dog and meme coins will never be worth anything.

>> No.56304883

because unless you already have at least mid to high six figures in BTC you're not going to make it. poorfags need to speculate in altcoins to have any chance of making it

>> No.56304913

bitcoin is what we trick boomers into buying to keep the market afloat while we gamble on shitcoins

if i had bought bitcoin and afk'd for 5 years i would be at like 2x my intial. instead i gambled on shitcoins and im currently at around 20x my initial(my ath 65x my initial)

bitcoin is for boomers or people <120 iq who would lose more money in alts than by just afking in bitcoin

>> No.56305420

all users whos portfolio is less than 80% BTC are nigger people, indians, unemployed, uneducated, retarded fat leech niggers who will have their wealth filtered to zero.

if you aren't a BTC maxi, you don't understand crypto

BTC only -> altcoiner -> shitcoiner -> altcoiner -> BTC maxi

this is a 6 year learning curve

Bitcoin is cyber gold, its the true energy backed money, its digital scarcity, one of the greatest inventions in the history of computing. If you instead of hoarding bitcoin use your money to buy dogshit ballsack sonic giving headcoin because it is going to moon you have 1 IQ and deserve to lose everything.

>> No.56305686

I only started gambling with alts the moment I hit 1BTC in my trezor a few years ago.
Honestly, I should have just bought more BTC but meh, lesson learned even if I made some money.

The "people" on this board are not helpful and have no interest in you succeeding. There was a time when posting was comfy and /biz/ helped /biz/ but greed has overtaken this place and now everyone is out to scam every last penny they can. Buy bitcoin and forget about it for a decade or buy into the shitcoin casino and join the misery.

>t. midwit

you're correct that 99% of coins will go to zero compared to bitcoin in the long run, but each of them also has their time when they vastly outperform it. obviously the high iq play is capitalize on the gains as best you can without getting caught holding any particular bag longterm.

grandma should buy bitcoin. the 150 iq retired league of legends pro should not. they're adept enough to find the coins before they pump, and secure more profits than they ever could sitting in bitcoin
