this has been the longest and most painful bear market in the history of the world and i feel like its just getting started. the worst part about it is the continual false hope with every bounce or recovery.

Lmao it’s been fucking nothing, this is baby tier compared to the last 2 crypto bear markets

>> No.56301133

Oh and yes, I still feel well off in this bear market, in the last bear market it felt like it was fucking over for me

But now I feel so comfy this far into a bear market either this is the most easy mode bear market ever, or there’s going to be a gigantic pop in the market that finally gives us a 2014/2018 feeling

>> No.56301147

>>56300988
It's been the shortest and easiest bear market actually. If you weren't wearing diaper at the time you would remember how low it felt in 2014/2015 for example when everybody thought that it was over for Bitcoin after the collapse of mtgox.

>> No.56301176

what bear? I don't even fully believe it's a bear because prices are still so high

>>56300988
using the term "bear market" is cope because it implies this is just another market cycle and another bull market is inevitable. this isn't the stock market, it doesn't reflect economic booms and busts, there's no reason to assume crypto will ever have a bull market again

The 2018-19 bear was comfy compared to now. We all knew it would go back up eventually, now the macro is so fucked we might just as well stay in the shitter for another 10 years. I’m still dca accumulating but it feels much worse compared to that time.

This desu. The fundamentals have changed too much, the whole reason for crypto’s extreme performance in the past was purely down to the availability of cheap credit and the continual drop in interest rates. This “bear market” has been nowhere near as brutal which is precisely why we may not ever see a bull run again.

This time it is unironically different.

You doomers can't isolate yourself from the market mood to think clearly. That's the reason why you never make any money, you let yourself invade by your emotions and your fears. When we have so much whiners such as yourself crying all day long it's when I know it's time to buy buy buy until I have no cash left.

>> No.56301365

>>56301297
>stock market always pumps during a recession
Generally after crashing about 40% and crabbing for between 6 and 12 months.

>>56301255
Another reason why I’m convinced we haven’t bottomed out and we don’t have a normal cycle anymore is precisely because we don’t have a lot of doomposting. There still seems to be this expectation that we’ll see 100k in a couple of years.

If there were a true capitulation and people were as demoralised as they were in 2018, I might change my mind.

>We all knew it would go back up eventually
That is exactly what is different about THIS bear market - we KNOW things will go up eventually. Crypto/Web3 is undoubtedly getting adopted by tradfi / legacy institutions.
Last bear market we were on the fence about IF crypto would ever get mainstream adoption. Now, it's a matter of WHEN.
But yes, the "when" issue is pretty big now considering the macro is utterly fucked.

>> No.56301449

True fear unlocked. Market stays flat for all of 2024 fakes a 5% crash then pumps to ATH with housing prices through the roof without any real correction.

Lost my arbitrum airdrop on some shitcoins . Gods gave me so many chances to make it with crypto last 10 years and I fumbled them all.
Will I get one last redeeming airdrop? God only knows. Perhaps farcaster. Idk tho.
I could've gotten in shib at the ground floor but I had no eth to sell my uni at that time. I wanted to make an account on friendtech but again, I lost everything so no eth to bridge. Im so retarded.
Ftx was such a good paypig to me via refferals but it shut down

ITT: All these idiot Doomers/perma bears with zero coins and no stake in the game.

>BUT MUH INTEREST RATES

Didn't stop AI stock like NVDA from having a massive bull run and inflating in valuation to dizzying levels.
Remember, there is ALWAYS a bull run on some asset, regardless of the macro environment.

If you dumb niggers think that it takes government shoving crates of money out of helicopters like it did in 2020-2021 to see assets going up in price, then you are retarded newfags that did not live through 2013, 2016-17 etc.

All you need to know is this: in a few months (April 2024) the currently supply of Bitcoin reaching the market will literally be SLASHED IN HALF, overnight. Even if you assume demand (i.e. buying pressure on Bitcoin in circulation on the exchanges) stays constant, that would result in an instant adjustment of Bitcoin upwards by approx. 100% from the speedy work of various arbitrage bots and individuals. And demand won't stay constant.

Nov/Dec 2022 was the bottom. You've been given one last chance to buy Bitcoin under $30,000. Don't fuck this up.
Also don't buy shitcoins. The spot ETFs are only going to get approved when the SEC cleans up all of the loose ends and removes the premined garbage like XRP and LINK from the mainstream exchanges such as Coinbase. Binance is already being sanitized and isolated from fiat on-ramps.

>> No.56301848

>>56301255
>hat's plainly not true. The doom posting was even worse
Felt very different for me, I wouldnt have bought otherwise I think. You could be right but for me that bear felt fine, at least for all of 2019, 2018 I quit the space for 6 months to reflect and work a big boy job

>>56301424
>But yes, the "when" issue is pretty big now considering the macro is utterly fucked.
I'm not a doomer but I believe that if the macro is fucked long enough crypto (at least in the sense of investable at this moment) won't play a role when global economy picks up speed again. Worth a shot but far from comfy.

crypto got too big the last bullrun
everyone saw it for what it is, a big fat joke.
My major concern is that the onramps to crypto are coming under more and more restrictions. I can't even transfer funds to an exchange without calling my bank. Normies are not going to do that.

Without normies buying crypto, we become the baggies.

Bitcoin is absolutely fine and the network is stronger and more decentralized than ever.

Shitcoins need to be put to death, and they will once regulatory clarity lands in 2024.

Not really, In 2019 crypto basically had zero infrastructure, DeFi didn't exist, nor NFTs, RWA, Gaming etc, Hell we barely had functioning L1s beside ETH up and running. The real leap was 2020 DeFi summer, Then we could grasp the potential of this whole thing.

Can't compare it to current bear, Yes macro is fucked but crypto as a space look x1000 more advanced, Tho the market is weirdly lagging behind and yet to become efficient, But i'm hopeful it'll eventually.
