What did they mean by this? This is the first time they've explicitly mentioned Steel Perlot and it's the first time I've heard of Eli Reinhardt (@eli_crypto).

I've done a bit of digging and I think I'm understanding the arrangement between Chainlink and Eric Schmidt. First of all, it doesn't seem like there's a lot of public information on Eli Reinhardt out there. I did find this video from 2021 that did have some interesting quotes from him, though:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoXDKFC0rcQ
>My name's Eli Reinhardt I've been in the crypto space for about 5 years now -- pretty actively.
>I have a couple different startups I'm working on right now.
>One is an institutional crypto infrastructure, uh, you know tool that plugs into the back of different financial institutions to get access to crypto products and services through our exclusive partnerships that we have in the industry.
He then goes to talk about some NFT stuff after that. It's hard not to think he's not talking about Chainlink in the first one. Keep in mind this is from 2021 as well where stuff like Swift and other banking partnerships were still up in the air with breadcrumbs compared to the outright confirmation we have now.

Eli is a partner at Steel Perlot. I'm guessing Eli was the one who got Steel Perlot to invest money into Chainlink since he's the guy on the ground building relationships with startups. And I guess once you get backed by Steel Perlot, at some point you'll get Eric Schmidt as an advisor to your startup.

Doesn't really change much at the end of the day, but just kinda neat to know a bit more about the relationship they've got.

definitely worth looking into. kind of wierd that both the chainlink twitter and sergeys personal twitter did a word for word thank you to them.

Nice work anon. I think Eric did mention he was introduced to link via his gf Michelle who works or runs steel in the first smart con talk. Who knows because he's a big player id assume he would have other links to this stuff. Seems pretty ground level that his young gfs company invested in it and that's how he knew instead of having other industry connections

im going through Elis likes on twitter. He likes this wallet called Fun thats built on Base. No outright ties of Chainlink to Fun, and no way i can see to invest in Fun but Fun would need chainlink for what it is trying to do

you're much better at this than i am. i've always been here for the crumbs, but never contributed to their discovery. as you said, the project is pretty much at peak bullishness right now, so none of this changes anything, but it's still interesting. thanks for an actually interesting thread
