When I google the current inflation rate, it says 3.67%. There is no way that is accurate, right?
What is the real inflation rate? It feel like it's much higher than that

CPI is a propaganda statistic created by the Department of Commerce, they reallocate the basket of goods at will while consumers don't do this, they tamp down high prices with "utility adjustments" (a new car today is worth more because it has TV screens in it, nevermind it's not as reliable).

When in actuality your grocery bill is 50% higher than it was prior to the scamdemic and the quality of meat/produce has dropped.

That's just the current inflation rate averaged out across a number of types. Food prices can be at 20% and it might been 40% last year but its all weighted back by other categories either not moving at all or lowering in price

It's only really useful as a reference to compare price movements, as in is the price of milk/gas/cars/shoes/etc outpacing average inflation.

Hello fellow retard, I am retarded too
I will help
Imagine your retard juice costs $1. Inflation rate is 100% (let's pretend fellow retard). Now your retard juice costs $2
Next month Inflation is only 50%. Number smaller means gooder right? Nope. Now your retard juice costs $3 because half of 2 is 1

This is CURRENT inflation rate.

If you want to see what the inflation has actually been over a given period of time I think the bls calculator is a great resource: https://data.bls.gov/cgi-bin/cpicalc.pl

For example, if you put $1 and look at 1/22 to now, you see it read as $1.09 or basically 9% inflation since January 2022.

Could well be accurate. You do realize the number you are getting is this months inflation compared to what it was a year ago?

No one can really tell you what inflation is because no one can agree upon what it actually means. Compare how much you saved in 2020 vs now and that gives you an idea.

We’re not even diving into the bank failures and the Fed’s hidden balance sheet not approved by Congress, specifically made to print money to prop up failing banks.

yes. it's just that it was already much higher for 2 years already. Those already inflated prices don't just go down immediately, if ever. One of the fed banks has a "nowcast" on their website where they run a continuous prediction of the next CPI data announcement

The real reason inflation numbers are faked is so that the 10-Year (expected) Inflation Rate is lowered which then affects "10-Year Treasury Constant Maturity Rate minus 10-Year (expected) Inflation Rate" and this number is affects the gold price.

Source: https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=2078535

So by faking inflation rate people are discouraged from moving back to gold.

CPI is propaganda. Look at shadow stats. Real inflation has been between 20 and 30% a year since 2020. Things are double in cost and that tracks what I see in my real world spending.

>one quarter of +3.67%
>We did it! We beat inflation!
that's not how it works, fucking retard
beating inflation would mean prices returning to where they were in 2018, which would mean multiple quarters of negative CPI
it's still nearly double the fed's faggot target 2.0% inflation rate
this is what it looks like when a paid stooge posts on twitter

Dipshit plebs unironically believe that slower inflation rates = lower prices.
Numbnuts, just because the inflation rate is currently lower than it was last year, it still means that A) prices are hella high, B) the prices aren't getting cheaper, and C) prices are still climbing at faster rates than pre-2020.

>> No.56271248

and even despite all that, the actual inflation rate is still higher than 3.6%, and the 3.6% figure only arises when you tenuously massage the numbers to get as low of a result as possible

i really do envy the dunning-kruger confidence some of you retards proudly display. if there really were some malicious attempt to fudge the numbers at play here, it would never be this fucking simplistic. all these schizo ideas rely on the notion that some 95 IQ uneducated midwit is able to see through it all.

you do not understand what "core inflation" seeks to measure or what the number represents. stick to talking about other stuff that isn't clearly above your paygrade. go post in the GME thread some more
