If you have enough money like this guy, why kill yourself of stress at work?
Just quit and live off your millions.
Are they so far into the hamster wheel they can't see the way out?
I have quit jobs that sucked when I had only had $6,000 grand in the bank.

Its puzzling to me how Wells Fargo senior management responded to the suicide after reading the article. Goes to show how these institutions view their own as expendable cogs in their corporate machine.

Human resorces person wasnt aware of the cause of death. You would think someone in that position would have knowledge of the event.

The senior management, his bosses, did not give a shit to show up to his memorial/funeral. Business as usual to them.

I think they took advantage of him and pushed his mental limits. They literally had him there 9am to 11pm. Thats not healthy for anyone no matter their net worth

Its insane. I used to work as Credit Suisse IB unit in Manhattan. Nice building outside but inside the most narrow buildings, ugly dirty carpet from 1980 that smells and has never been replaced, everyone working in their little soulless cubicle doing their mundane office job earning $150k.

Then you go into a tech company, vast office space where you can work where you want, free fresh food everywhere, dozens of activities to take a quick break, and on top you earn $250k+ relatively easy.

Working in Finance vs Tech is like night and day.

I swear white collar dudes are such pussies. I see my family for like 4 days a month and work 70 hours a week. I have to sleep in a truck that smells like piss, and often reach my driving limit in some of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the US. But it's a fucking job! Work is supposed to suck! I don't understand what these people want from their jobs. They're fucking paying you to do shit..so do shit. Yeah everybody could be making more money, but jumping out a window because you're stressed out from work? Grow a pair.

the yt channel 'Unlearning Economics' did a video a year ago on "The Toxic Culture of the Economics Profession" where first thing the video mentioned was that four high-profile economists commuted suffice ... which got me interested in the subject...

>> No.56264542

"Speaking as a physicist, I would really like it if economists stopped trying to use physics to do economics. If you want a mathematical framework to base your theories around, do what we do and talk to mathematicians. I know this is only tngentially related to this video, but the mention of equilibriums at the start reminded me of all the conversations I've had with econ students trying to argue that money works like a fluid, which only ever proved two things: 1) that they didn't understand fluid mechanics and 2) (more worryingly) that they didn't understand money."

my guess is that the "business models" rely on brainwashing i.e. for television commercials to be effective. whether its freemasons using blackmagik to manipulate sheeples(people) or basic psychological manipulation is up for debate?

hmmm

>A previously unreported document, filed to the Department of the Treasury on December 17, 2019 by financial crime investigators at Wells Fargo, picked out 25 individuals linked to the suspected ring and almost $7million of suspicious transactions, some of which included checks from Hunter that they believed may have been falsified to hide his payments to hookers from his business account.

>'Wells Fargo's financial crimes investigations conducted a continued review of customer Robert Hunter Biden as well as several related customers for funds derived from unknown sources, the unusual movement of funds, and unusually high volumes of cash transactions that appeared related to prostitution and or drugs,' the investigators' report said.
