I hate to admit it but he's right.

And even if the ETFs are approved, it won't really make much of a difference. People who wanted to invest have already done so. That includes institutions and entities only willing to go through the securities market, because there are plenty of investment vehicles on there that is basically a proxy for BTC, like GBTC or MSTR.

The ETF was first proposed when MtGox was the largest exchange, a year before it collapsed. We've literally just wanted exposure to the bitcoin in a traditional brokerage account. That's it. No one wanted to wire funds to some obese magic the gathering guy in japan or coinapult $100 at a CVS or deal with paper wallets. Bitfinexed is the biggest dipshit I've ever had to listen to.

99.99% of cryptos are a scam, including Bitcoin. The only ones that aren't a scam are the ones that offer utility for things people actually want to use. If there is no use-case other than "muh medium of exchange", it's a scam.

setting up an exchange account is a pain. and etf allows you literally click one or two buttons to buy.
