There are people who have been on /biz/ for years and hold zero LINK, and who were here while we told them about SWIFT, DTCC, Euroclear, 12 banks, ANZ, Klaus Schwab, Eric Schmidt, 500 hires, Vodafone, T-Systems, and so on, ad nauseam, and they will just sit there with zero LINK while it moons and the whole time they won't buy a single one and in the end they'll just think to themselves:

The tokens are required to secure the network. There is no speculative interest in owning LINK tokens. They simply allow you to participate in a network. Never has the Chainlink team implied that owning Chainlink is going to be a source of revenue for you nor have they speculated on the price of the token. The predictable 4 year pump and dump cycle is not going to last forever. Many will sell early thinking they are smarter than the rest of the herd only to find that they are now priced out of what is literally a new paradigm.

I will add that this strange period of the past couple of years is the opportunity of a century. On one hand institutional adoption has never been more imminent than now. On the other hand Link has never seen a more severe bear market when you take into consideration the price performance vs fundamentals. This is the time period in which weak minds have capitulated due to being gaslit by the markets. In hindsight it will appear to be the most obvious investment opportunity that has ever existed.
