Get a burger job, remote if possible because I farm the exchange rate difference but living in the US would be better so either is a win
Go back 2 shcool and minmax the interest-free student loans which are evaporating under inflation
To save money I just shop at Walmart or get bulk staples and can get a full monthly cycle of meals for sub-$100 CAD.

What does this retard buy at the grocery store? Probably a bunch of junk food. No way is eating at a restaurant the same price as cooking your own food.

Threadly reminder that the MEDIAN household income in 1970 was 235oz of gold ($8.7k in '70 dollars, $450k in 2023 shitcoins). You will never be free as long as you hold fiat.

this is green line go up mumu mentality that could only exist in a growth society which will no longer exist in the majority of the world within our lifetimes. You need to adjust your mindset or end up bankrupt. There's a reason that thrift developed and withstood the ages while the 'abundance' mentality has existed only in the last 50 years or so.

I am going to get blowies from mumu wives for a silver dime a piece. Future looks bright.

Where can you purchase things with gold? Yet gold has still -1x fiat since '71, 44x versus 42x monetary expansion. Remember that even at the top of the dotcom bubble, DCAing into a 3x QQQ would have been a winning move, that's how big a shitcoin fiat is.

BTC solves money, people call it "digital gold" but even gold relied on trust in the sovereign that the coinage was of the correct purity & weight, and after redemption based currency gained traction was entirely trust-based. BTC on the other hand is truly trustless, the first trustless money to ever exist, and as such, the last money the world will ever need, a final solution to the money question. The systemic economic value of trustless money is nearly beyond comprehension. Future history will denote the past into pre & post BTC eras. Bitcoin is an inevitability.

I can still make a nice container of tuna salad for about 7 bucks that will make me lunch for 3 or 4 days, 12 bucks to get some nice sub-rolls, that's 4 lunches at 3 bucks a meal instead of going out and paying at least 15.

Things were definitely easier in the past, but they're not insurmountable.

I go to Costco which is a little better but still. Prepandemic I went to Raleysand spent 150 every 2 weeks for food. It seemed crazy high back then and we switched to Costco and maybe spent like 100 every 2 weeks. Now it’s 200 dollars a week. It’s literally 4x’d in 3 years. I am getting ass raped I remember calculating that me and my partner eat on 7 dollars a day, 3.50 per day. Now a fucking tuna sandwich is 3 dollars, multiply that by 3 meals it’s 9 dollars and add in some snacks. It’s not just food it’s gas, rent, insurance, what the fuck. It’s like the ground was moved beneath me.

even in a zero sum game scenario there are winners and losers
even in dictatorships there are relative winners and losers
what is certain is that saving will always reach a hard limit to scalability, while claiming a larger share of the economic output of a given entity has no realistic upper bounds

thrift also is completely unworkable in present day world where everyone has service jobs in cities
the days of past where most people were surprisingly self sufficient is gone forever so you are forced in the game
if nothing else shelter used to be affordable, now not so much so other than cali tent city where will you thrift your way into a roof over your head
