Interesting theory, doesn't seem to hold up with backtesting. LINK reached range lows for the first time when BTC dumped to $20k end of 2022. Then BTC proceeded to dump to $16k, while Chainlink didn't budge.

Later BTC pumped back to $30k while LINK was barely moving again.
