Ideas and the tone of the Beta version was better.
Final version was bit all over the place
Its a pretty good game, all in all.

Hate the recons in the HL2, why the fuck does Freeman suddenly know some fucking guard from Black Mesa and drinks beers with him? Do you know guards at your job and hang out with them?
Why not just send Dog to do everything since that thing is super powerful? Why did that stupid guard and Kleiner gave you a fucking crowbar instead of rations, guns and ammo, a helmet, some kind of communication device and a map? Maybe a list of tips too?
What do this barnacles eat all day in the fucking sewer, obviously not rats since their tounges are not really searching the surface of the floor for prey, maybe they are resting or whatever.
Why is combine using stupid head crabs and not just napalm or nerve gas? Are they worried about Geneve convention against the rebels? Are they worried about the environment and wildlife that is gone already? Why not drop a bunker buster from air to the rebel base?
Why are all the rockets and bombs so ineffective? Or are they just to activate that ammo that lays around the place everywhere?

I guess all the scientists with mustaches died.
Well at least they did not put Freeman's kid in the story because there was a picture of a baby in the locker
