Well?... Does it /biz?
Inside the hardware of the internet computer. Notice anything... missing?

"The node has no hard drives & no backup power supply.

Just two powerful CPUs, large RAM, high performance NVRAM for persistence, and networking."
"Soon there will be thousands of these ICP nodes. Then millions."

permissioned trash.
buy Avalanche instead, there you can build your Validator however you want. dont need any specialized hardware and you can run it anywhere and make as many backups as you want.

>>56178508
lmao there will never be more than that.
meanwhile on Avalanche we can scale to millions of validators and currently have 1300, most decentralized network in crypto too.
ICPoors wont make it.

I'm new to this. What's wrong? Single power source and only volatile memory feels dumb to a traditional i.e. important machine. It's irrelevant if the network around this implements persistence and redundancy. If ICP achieves that nodes are cattle and not pets, more machines yield more decentralized performance at a cheaper price compared to more self contained but less machines

kek, dfinity is the sole node operator... from what i'v seen many people have invested in these "special servers" and dfinity will not give them permissions to operate, in fact the investors have been simply ignored as if they don't exist.

Simple rule in crypto fundamentals.

If you cannot mine it and you cannot operate a node without permission, don't invest.

I can understand system requirements, however an automated routine benchmark should cover that.

However I think what dfinity attempted to do is demand a ridiculous requirement and thought no one would shell out 10s of thousands of dollars on the hardware.

ICP isn't really even a crypto when you look at it. IC is a cloud service where they contract out the hosting, use consensus to make sure the the code runs correctly and use ICP/Cycles as a credit system to pay for it all. Then they created crypto-esq demos to hype their product up and are adding crypto integration.

If they just said this upfront instead of pretending to be a crypto coin they would probably get legit developers instead of crypto retards. The only real benefit is their community/platform is crypto-friendly, but they'll probably go bankrupt before that actually pays off.

The answer to why your post is retarded is in pic related. See if you understand ICP enough to work it out. I doubt the /biz/ OpenChat circle jerk could help you out they don't understand ICP either. Your only hint is that there was a substantial event in ICPs history that proved your post is wrong.

You never wrote an ICP app or deployed a canister unless it was some frontend/NFT canister. The future of ICP is down to whether or not Dfinity can shake off leeches like you.
