>climate change
>drinkable water scarcity
>need for hydrogen
>need for carbon capture

all of this can be achieved by desalinating sea water. It can source drinkable water, hydrogen and capture the carbon in the ocean into a solid (shell like).
Whats your favorite desalination stonk?

It was my understanding that this process is energy intensive anon. Furthermore the trucking or general pipeline infrastructure to make such work would also be expensive. Lastly I believe the worry is large scale pollution of water sources, in which case the ocean would still be subject at some point as it rains in the ocean is my understanding

We live in the era of sustainable energy.

the best solution is not releasing the carbon in the first place, or capture it at the source but we will most likely have to clean up the atmosphere too in order to fix the damage we accumulated.
DAC or direct air capture is extremely energy intensive, sourcing from water would be better already
>pollution of water sources
meh. Water is already polluted and heated af, supposidly releasing the decarbonised water near fish farms could help offset the acidity from fish. So theres that.

Depopulation.
Desalination is unsustainable (but only if you're trying to suplly 8 billion niggers)
