i work in corporate accounting/finance. real companies tend to discount title inflation at scam startups. being a controller at a company that uses quickbooks or managing P&L forecast at a company with 15 employees and low 7 figures a year is a total joke and doesn't yield many real corporate opportunities.

It’s not that bad. I was offered like $8k/4weeks as a remote data analyst contractor.
Considering my monthly spend is like $800/mo living like a king in Chiang mai, it’s a no brainer.

I work at a "fly by night" (funded by vc) startup and it's actually pretty nice
>we're profitable
>hybrid schedule
>nice office downtown
>good benefits
>great pay
The only issue is sometimes I have nothing to do, but then sometimes I have EVERYTHING to do. Like the work of 4 other people we haven't hired. Right now I'm in the nothing to do part and it's easy. But in 30 minutes I might have to put out like 20 fires at once. So it's a trade-off you have to be willing to make. And if we exit big (likely in next few years) that'll be a great resume builder for the next faggy startup I work at or found.
