Hello Frens,
I had to give away my couch today. Although It was broken for the last year, I persevered through its failure for as long as possible, but today was the day. I had been through many things with this couch: Heartbreak, Love, Friendships, Depression, Wins and Losses, Good times and Bad ones. It's hard to believe how many memories were attached to it. I'm not a hoarder by any means, I've never felt this way about losing a piece of furniture --or any inanimate object for that matter. It feels like I've lost a lifelong friend that I can never get back. The pain is real, I'm very sad.
Is there a word for this feel? Germans usually have a word or term for something like this.
