Serious question, why does /biz/ hate ChainLink so much (newfag here)?

From a technical perspective it seems like a great idea. Why does it get so much hate here? Is it vaporware? Did the devs do something wrong?

LINK is a Silver Bullet, but only IF Sergey delivers, all the memes will come true. It's literally a 50/50 chance.

The FUD exists half-heartedly, because Sergey can literally die in a car crash, or turn out to be the biggest scam artist of the year.

The fact that "Rory" is our only source of information regarding progress, it makes us feel a little uneasy.

1 of 2 things will happen with LINK.

1) It will stagnate and literally do nothing.

or

2) We'll get the type of announcement everyone is hoping for and shit will start to fly parabolically.

At this point, LINK is practically vaporware (though they say they are in business to some degree, we just have no way of knowing if they have any interest in what they offer).

It truly will be interesting to see what 2018 holds.
