Jasmy is a real Japanese company involved in creation and development of IOT and utilizing the blockchain to secure personal data.

There are some weird disconnects between JASMY the company, and JASMY the cryptocurrency.

The "CFO" is the only one who talks on twitter, other than their "official account" jasmyMGT. On top of that a lot of pictures of him are extremely low resolution, even having a "partially" animated profile picture, although someone (a shill, maybe) said that this was a trend in Japan, taking photos like that.

If you look on their website, they have a disclaimer, saying in summary "Our company or our affiliated companies do not sell crypto assets (virtual currency).

So, case closed right? Someone made the JASMY token imitating the legitimate business?

Except...

Going to their legitimate website, clicking the top right dropdown, then clicking on "Jasmy Global" (links to a website called Jasmy Global) openly promotes the cryptocurrency, talks about listings, and has a literal price chart at the bottom.

So, in my mind, a couple things are possible.

1.) The disclaimer is a copy paste from the Japanese SEC saying they themselves do not sell the token they create and to "protect your money" as a safeguard while regulations get figured out. The cryptocurrency is legitimate.

2.) Jasmy has side teams, one of which made the JASMY token, but since the negative press regarding crypto, they purposely keep it under wraps until it can live in a better, less scrutinized environment. The cryptocurrency is legitimate but may be taken out if the bag is too much of a liability for the company.

3.) The website clearly has some issues, while the CSS itself is great, there are mistranslations and pig-latin that you see all too many times. It's possible that the domain for jasmy global got hijacked and they are too busy/lazy/unaware to fix it. The cryptocurrency is illegitimate.

I haven't seen a cryptocurrency like this where I literally cannot decipher whether the token is attached to the real company or not, they seem to double-speak all the time.
