No one wants to talk about it because if you told the population you have a 5-10% of having severe disabled kid natality rates will drop even faster.

Even young mothers and fathers are experiencing the increased risk of disabilities in their children so age is clearly not largest culprit if it even is a culprit at all.
No one knows for sure but a lot of much smarter people than us are saying that it is most likely the work of some pollutant that have increased in quantity over the last two decades, micro plastics is one of those pollutants that have been brought up many times as a likely source of this but it's almost blind speculation since no one knows for sure how 90% of the shit our industries pumps out into the biosphere actually affects the human body in the long term, the few who might know are either hiding their know for profit or doesn't care enough to spread awareness of it

The black pill that humanity is becoming unable at exponential rate to have healthy kids is too hard to swallow for the "muh legacy" conservatives.

For their mind is easier ignore the problem and think this will never happen to them that try to find a solution

I have a son with autism. Obviously since I'm on 4chan you know there is some heritability factor, but you always wonder about what else is causing it.

It was clear there was something seriously wrong with him even a few weeks after birth, well before first vaccines (those are at 6 months). By the way the whole vaccine/autism link actually comes from cases where kids seem normal until suddenly around 2/3 years old they suddenly turn autistic. So even if vaccines cause those cases, it wouldn't explain the common case of being autist from birth like my kid.

Note also that part of the reason for increase in autism is increasing diagnosis and also expanding definition of the term "autism". But I don't think that explains it totally.

Anyway thank god his trajectory seems to be that his autism is reducing in severity and by the time he's 8 years old he'll probably be a standard minecraft player.

Hmmm.. I'm thinking that high functioning autism are getting more often diagnosed because of the knowledge we have today.

It's not that kids "suddenly turn autistic" at 2/3 so much as that's usually when things start to change, and autists hate change. I was barely a year old when my grandparents noticed something was up because I was banging my head against the wall and generally pitching a fit after my little bro was brought home and I got kicked out of the crib for a bed so he could be in the crib instead. Another thing is that parents don't want to acknowledge something is "wrong" with their kids and only face facts after a year or so of signs, my mom rejected the idea for months after my grandma said something.
I think there might be a *slight* environmental factor but it's greatly eclipsed by the fact autism is a lot more socially accepted than it used to be and so autists like us are more likely to breed as opposed to being locked away in a home somewhere and forgotten about. That and if you were just an aspie you could hypothetically just pass as normal through a combo of normal masking behaviors and your parents beating the shit out of you until you stopped acting autistic, which isn't as much the case today as parenting styles shift to letting kids show it more so you see a lot more visibly autistic kids nowadays even if the ratio hasn't changed all that much.
